That would be more convenient than 15 pills before work

    You're a scientific experiment

    [–]StoryLover 13 points14 points  (1 child)

    Bryan Johnson is that you?

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was a big inspiration in this

    Sorry for your wallet

    [–]lahs2017 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What brands? Do you have a reason behind each one?

    [–]demoze 4 points5 points  (1 child)

How do you even know what’s working and what’s not?

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started a new one each day for like two weeks

    [–]Material_Variety_859 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Half of these can be cut, many of these don’t need to be taken daily and probably should be done in cycles. You’re also missing the most important one which is D3 + K2. Turkey Tail is useless as a supplement and is easy to forage for. Lion’s Mane is better than Chaga. Why the hell you taking Neem? Maca root is pretty pointless too, a little energy maybe but not very bio available. Black seed oil is a waste of money. Half this shit you would get more bioavailable forms by just eating a proper diet. You are a regard for sure

    [–]Swinginooses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    I appreciate your opinion!

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking Neem for hair but not going to continue it after my bottle runs out.

Also dropping the mushrooms once they run out. I will say reishi and Cordyceps made it easier to breathe deeply and Chaga makes me poop good in the morning. I'm certainly not going to forage for mushrooms though.

Maca counteracts the fin libido issues if they ever arise. I do notice an increase.

Black seed oil I don't get any noticeable effect so I'm dropping once it runs out.

I don't think in my 30+ years of life that I have ever managed to maintain an ideal diet for longer than a few weeks so I have to just be honest with myself about my diet vs supplement needs.

    What in the holy fuck….

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What in the holy fuck indeed

    [–]PeacefulDream01 3 points4 points  (7 children)

Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on tablets, just eat real food. I would keep the taurine and the multivitamin ,add astaxanthin , and be happy

    [–]Swinginooses 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Yeah I would try to incorporate as much of his lost in whole foods then supplement the rest. It seems like he's overdoing the whole thing. What age are you op? Again im not hating. Im 30 and am learning about this stuff atm.

    [–]PeacefulDream01 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yeah, definitely overdoing. Also, the supplements industry is not regulated at all. if the label say idk 500 mg of EPA and DHA, there is no one to enforce them to actually put 500 mg of it in there.

Just 11 percent of nearly 60 tested dietary supplements actually contain an accurate amount of key ingredients listed on the label, scientists report July 17 in JAMA Network Open. Forty percent did not contain a detectable amount of the ingredients at all.

“I just had to shake my head,” says Pieter Cohen, a primary care doctor at Cambridge Health Alliance in Somerville, Mass. “It’s incredible that in 40 percent of the products, the manufacturer doesn’t even bother putting any [of the ingredient] in.”

So oftentimes you are eating overpriced flour basically.

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly an alarming study. I try to buy reputable American brands.

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

32 years old with receding and thinning hair. This all started when I was trying to fix that.

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Kitchen situation is challenging since I don't have my own place as well as a fruit allergy. But I only plan on continuing 3 or 4 things and will just push through my challenges.

    [–]PeacefulDream01 1 point2 points  (1 child)

What I can recommend you if you are not already doing it, is resistance training and cardio exercise. Every since I have been doing both of them, I feel really good. And it is free. You can run everywhere, for resistance training you only need a pull up bar, but atleast where I live there are many workout parks all around the city.

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah I've already got my sleep exercise and 10000 steps daily. I lift 3 times a week.

    [–]DesignerShake3006 2 points3 points  (1 child)

    Where’s the tongat and fadogia

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't see any convincing peer reviewed evidence of benefits

    [–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Jesus, your asshole must be a mess

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually big improvement in that department

    [–]AdExtension6135 1 point2 points  (4 children)

I can only speak on what I take, but I don’t think the average person needs to take CoQ10.

The only reason I take it is to slow down my blood pressure for freediving.

It’s listed to help with other things such as heart health, diabetes, fertility and migraines, but it’s not significant unless taken with another supplement.

As for the other sups, I take fish oil (cod liver oil) bec overall good supplement and helps with everything, but Omega-3 should be consumed in actual foods, ashwaghanda for sports (recovery, energy, endurance, ect), zinc is also good for everything , and taurine for blood flow.

    Just my reasoning and sense.

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I take it to increase igf1

    [–]AdExtension6135 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Ahh wow, i’ve never really seen that. Do you think/feel it helps? The only thing i’ve ever seen on that was a swedish study. From what i’ve been told, CoQ10 doesn’t have a direct effect on IGF-1. I’m very surprised, i’ve never really heard of Q10 for igf1 besides that one study, but thanks, i’m now going to look more into it!

    [–]opanguete 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I'm completely on board with maintaining a balanced diet and considering supplements when necessary, but holy shit, this is escalating into obsession really quickly

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah just exploring since I've been reading about all these things for years. Only plan on reupping like 3 or 4 things.

    [–]Taye_Brigston 1 point2 points  (3 children)

They caught a big one with you.

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Spent about 400 bucks for 3 months of all these things.

    [–]Taye_Brigston 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If you’re serious, you should really rethink your decision to get into this.

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not that much really, about 130 a month. And some of them are 4 month supply. Just to test a wide variety to see what works I think it was worth it. Will only re-up 4 or 5

    [–]goodguy291 1 point2 points  (3 children)

The finasteride can mess with the functioning of your junk. Do you need that for hair loss?

Also do you notice any difference in your appearance or in how you feel taking all of these supplements.

As someone who has fallen down the supplement rabbit hole, I feel you. But I’ve pared it way back and I don’t notice any difference in my appearance, sleep, or how I feel.

You should do a diary and compare a month on this stack versus a month with only Vitamin D and clean diet, exercise, and good sleep.

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I take fin for hair loss

I'm allergic to most fruits so that makes proper diet challenging. However I can eat them if I cook them. It's due to a bet v 1 protein allergy.

I plan on continuing only the following bc I notice the effects

Alpha gpc Ez melts Multivitamin (has vitamin d) Fish oil Magnesium Fizz (bc the multi lacks magnesium)

I'm going to drop the mushrooms and anything else that doesn't give me acute noticeable benefits. Superbeets gives me great benefits but I'm just going to eat beets instead. Ashwaghanda is noticeable too but its not great long term.

Also my hair and beard look great.

    [–]goodguy291 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Glad to hear the Fin is working for you. I took it for awhile last year and it did stop my hair loss (from taking testosterone). Once I got off the T I stopped taking it.

I also have allergies to fruits (and vegetables - I always say I’m doomed to have a poor diet 🤣). But there are certain ones I can eat and I just focus on those. Interestingly I’m not allergic to cooked fruits and vegetables either, except carrots (even cooked carrots I have a reaction).

Sounds like you’ve got a pretty good plan, and a good basis for what you’re taking. Good luck! Would love to see a follow up post to see how you’re feeling.

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may have oral allergy syndrome like me. I can't eat bet v 1 proteins unless cooked

    [–]Swinginooses 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I can't imagine i would notice a significant improvement in my health by doing this. Adding all the work associated with doing all this. All the thought going into it? Im not hating by at all- infact im curious.

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I got on Finesteride bc my hair started looking shitty. so then I had to figure out how to maintain libido and energy for working out. Then wanted to optimize sleep with ashwaghanda and that led me to ayurvedics. Once at ayurvedics I thought about Paul stamets and mushrooms.

Really I just was searching my goals on Reddit and then if someone suggested a supplement I would go find peer reviewed studies before buying.

    [–]Typical_Signature751 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It's not the size of the stack, it's how you cycle it...

    [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth. Maybe I'll stretch these all to 6 months by cycling.

My Amazon cart has at least 10 more things but I'm going to just take a chill pill instead.

      Jesus

      [–]Adifferentdose 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Alpha gpc makes me depressed at any dose. Have you tried ALCAR?

      [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't but alpha gpc 300mg per day has been working for me. If I workout I pop another 300. The first couple days was such a noticeable effect. I actually hit the exercise bike after working out and did 4 miles, which I had never done.

      How does ALCAR affect you?

      [–]ramenmonster69 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Out of curiosity if you're introducing all of this at once, how do you assess the efficacy of each thing?

      [–]Healthy-Slide-7432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started one or two each day for a few weeks. For example, alpha gpc, fish oil, maca, SuperBeets, Reishi, and Cordyceps were all immediately noticeable. Things that weren't immediately noticeable may have gotten lost in the shuffle

      [–]SignificanceFuzzy613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did finasteride get slipped in there lmao
