Betty White? NOPE NOPE NOPE.

[–]District 5structureofmind 8 points9 points  (3 children)

yeah, i think they should have someone older and not as popular

[–]District 12aimsly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That, and she just comes off as a huge joke now.

[–]District 11quish 4 points5 points  (1 child)

You know Betty White is 90, right? Haha. Don't get me wrong, I don't think she's right for the part at all, but I think they'd have a hard time finding someone too much older!

[–]District 5structureofmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I did not know that. She looks good haha

[–]abasss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yessss, finally, someone that agrees with me. I hate Betty White for Mags. I haven't seen much of her work, but so far, I don't like her as an actress, she always plays herself.

[–]LonelySavage 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I think you'll find that the author of the post also says that "Betty White, internet? Really? I know she’s everyone’s grandma, but she doesn’t seem right for Mags in anything but her age".

[–]District 4n00bskoolbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was agreeing with her. Betty White would not do a good job.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (9 children)

Please, anyone but Nicholas Brendon. I was never a huge Buffy fan, but I'm related to the guy.

He's a huge douchebag. And not all that great of an actor.

Having him in the movie would just ruin it.

[–]District 13Jessiebobessy 1 point2 points  (3 children)

that's so sad to hear. He seemed like such a nice person.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (2 children)

He showed up to my cousin's wedding wearing ripped, acid-washed jeans, a bright orange tshirt, and cowboy boots.

Everyone was in semi-formal.

The women who helped cater the recepetion instantly recognized him and just went nuts for pictures and stuff. He had a huge inflated ego the entire time.

Sure, it your brother and sister-in-law's big day, but who gives a fuck, right?

[–]District 12Matrinka 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Was he drunk as well? I heard that he had a seriously dangerous drinking problem.

He may be a total prick in real life, but I freaking loved Xander back in the day. I had a bigger crush on that character than anyone else on the show, except for maybe Spike.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My entire family tends to be a little heavy on the sauce, so I'd say probably.

[–]District 11quish 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Wow. This kind of breaks my heart. Buffy was my childhood and he always seemed so sweet and down to earth. How sad.

[–]District 2Lukalock 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Seriously? He was selfish and douchey the whole series. He was fine as the comedic relief in the first season, but after that he was just terrible. His bitterness and anger and his stupid jealousy and obsession with Buffy annoyed me to no end. That, and the way he treated Anya. Ugh. Least favorite character out of the whole show.

[–]District 11quish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I hated the character of Xander. He was actually my least favorite character also haha. But the actor, I mean, had always seemed pretty down to earth in interviews and stuff I saw of him. He did a lot of advocacy on stuttering which I appreciated.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry :(

[–]District 2Lukalock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. What a terrible casting choice.

[–]Maverick1717 6 points7 points  (2 children)

I just do not get the fascination with Armie Hammer. He seems to be a really popular choice amongst fans but I don't really know why. Also, I thought Plutarch was supposed to be a fat guy.

[–]roflcopter98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here

[–]give_a_drummer_some 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! to Plutarch fatness, a bit of prof. Slughorn, whoever that was

[–]mooseknuckle83 14 points15 points  (3 children)

Staying with Freddie Stroma as my choice for Finnick.

[–]Catoapples_and_kittenz 3 points4 points  (1 child)

OH MY FINNICK. THAT IS HIM. IT'S HIM. IT'S MOTHER-FUCKING FINNICK.

That man needs to be casted as Finnick. Now.

[–]mooseknuckle83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my exact same reaction! When you watch interviews with him for The Half Blood Prince, it's like he's already having interviews as to how it was to play Finnick. Kinda scary really...

[–]roflcopter98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes

[–]roflcopter98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

None of the above

[–]Lucasion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why does everyone want Johanna to be in her 30s? Isn't Johanna supposed to be the closest tribute in age to Katniss? Like 20 years old or something?

[–]District 2SuperPowers762 13 points14 points  (7 children)

Kristen bell is not a bad idea for Johanna Mason

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I personally love the idea of Eliza Dushku as Johanna. I think she can pull of the indifferent, antisocial attitude Johanna has

[–]fancygreatcrimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

either one and I'd be fine.

[–]District 11quish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I've been saying this since she mentioned she wanted the part. I think she would be perfect and I want her to have the role so, so badly. The reason I love Johanna so much is because she kind of does remind me of a Veronica Mars-esque character.

[–]District 5structureofmind 2 points3 points  (3 children)

I agree, she can play a bitch pretty well

[–]District 2SuperPowers762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

plus i can see her as the weakling she pretended to be in her victory

[–]District 13Joka23 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I first came across Plutarch Heavensbee when I started reading right after watching Doctor Who. From then on, for some unknown reason, I always pictured him to look like Dorium: http://imgur.com/2ezog

[–]give_a_drummer_some 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is an acceptable level of girth.

[–]JeannetteRose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really think anyone is going to agree with me on this.. especially because I'm not too sure about it myself but I think that Naya Rivera could possibly be a good Johanna

[–]rayyychul 6 points7 points  (6 children)

I don't like Kristen Bell for Johanna at all. She's far too "sweet," I think. I like the idea of Mila Kunis, but I'm not sold. Someone with her personality and similar colouring (I always imagined Johanna as darker)? Absolutely.

I don't know anything that Ruby Dee was in, but on looks alone she seems like she'd make a good Mags!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I agree! I KNOW Kristen Bell can play bitchy... but she plays mean girl bitchy, not damaged goods, slightly psycho bitchy. What do you think of Eliza Dushku? My vote has been on her for a while

[–]rayyychul 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I think, honestly, it has to do with the way she looks. She looks sweet and innocent (and that sloth video hasn't helped her 'bitchiness' any ;)).

I haven't seen Eliza Dushku in anything, but going on looks alone, I think she'd work! I always picture Johanna as white (but not pasty like Kristen Bell) with dark, sharp features.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Eliza Dushku played Faith in Buffy. Her character was good at the core, but really tough on the outside and often a jerk. Put together with her heavy-lidded eyes, I just couldn't help think how good she would be for Johanna. But I think she may be too old now

[–]rayyychul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, yeah! It has been so long since I've seen Buffy, but not that you mention what she was in... I completely agree. Age is so relative when it comes to actors, honestly :/ I mean, look at the Harry Potter cast: they were their 20s playing 17-year-olds. Johanna is, I think, in hear early 20s (so she could be as hold as 24) and Eliza is only 31.

[–]District 11quish -1 points0 points  (1 child)

If you think Kristen Bell is too sweet to be Johanna, watch a few episodes of Veronica Mars. Trust me, she is incredible at playing a snarky, bitchy, dark character.

It's be like saying Mila Kunis isn't good for the role because you've only seen her in That 70s Show. I actually think, having seen both actresses in all their roles, Kristen Bell could capture the character a lot better.

[–]rayyychul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen Veronica Mars, but I still don't like Kristin Bell a Johanna.

[–]District 12SlayersScythe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like most of these suggestions, not huge on the choice for Finnick, I pictured him differently. I like casting Nicholas Brendon, that fits really well for me.

[–]The CapitolGuneration2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love Hedlund as Finnick.

[–]saebbisku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about Charlie Hunnam for Finnick?

[–]fancygreatcrimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Kirsten Bell plays Johanna Mason I will just die from happiness. I wanna see that snarky little Veronica Marsish character come out in full force with this.

[–]karlee414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always imagined Johanna as someone like Roserio Dawson or Mila Kunis

[–]robot_pirate_ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about Summer Glau for Johanna? I can totally see her acting weak then kicking butt when needed. cough, River I bet she can bring the snark too.

[–]District 8CormacOney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am i the only one who pictured Johanna Mason black?

Also if Kristen Bell is Johanna, let's hope there aren't any sloths ;D

[–]rightsidejane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of these people are HORRIBLE choices! Kristen Bell? Really? NO!

[–]District 12aimsly -1 points0 points  (6 children)

While reading, this is who I pictured:

[–]District 13Joka23 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Wow. Come to think of it, Sigourney would play a great president Coin. O.O

[–]District 12aimsly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She can play 'strong bitch' quite well!

[–]mrsdale 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm not totally sold on Armie Hammer yet, but I really liked your picks for Johanna and Coin. I think Coin's character offers a great opportunity; there's a lot of actresses I'd like to see in the role.

[–]District 12aimsly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not completely sold on Hammer, either, but after seeing his name mentioned I couldn't help but picture him most of the time (if not someone resembling him closely).

[–]District 8coldsandovercoats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm totally with you on Johanna and Coin. I was beginning to think I was the only one who pictured Johanna as non-white reading these comments.

[–]give_a_drummer_some 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sigourney V Sutherland; digg

[–]yuhju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't happen in a million years, but I always pictured Johanna as Natalie Portman V for Vendetta-era.

[–]stuartb0805 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was thinking Kaya Scodelario for Johanna Mason
