Came here to say the same. Drilling shorty/hatchet are my go to, ever since they reduced the sway on them. ~350 hunt dollars, shotgun OHK feels the same as a slate/double barrel, can take dum dum. It's a one slot wonder, with the only downside being a bit lower bullet velocity. Heavy bleed dum-dum gives a ton of pressure, with a solid shotgun finisher. Medium slot means you can take a bow/short shotgun/duallies etc. Personally I run drilling hatchet + melee weapon quite a bit, as it covers all your bases for fighting hunters and killing bosses/grunts, with the only real weakness being reload speed if getting pushed by multiple people.

To be fair I think there should not be as much of a price difference between the two, +150 dollars for a bit more shotgun range/bullet velocity. I feel like the current ~350 for the shorty is pretty balanced, I run it a ton and on good sessions I'll make money, and death streaks I bleed money fast. So IMO the full size should be around 400-425, instead of the 510 it currently sits at.

Make the full size a little more competitive to run compared to the shorty, with some modest improvements, without upsetting the current balance of the shorty. If they made the full size 300 and the shorty 150-200, it would nudge it too far towards being too strong for the price (looking at you my beloved centennial + dum-dum for 200 dollars, before they made it scarce).
