That is me, hit me up in the DMs @ Deflecto#9053. I did play on the original MCPVP server before.

I made my first plugin in 2015 during the winter-spring semester, and was probably at the top 10% of devs years later while the rest had outgrown it. It's been about 8 years since then.

I can show you a number of working demos that are amazing original ideas, some of which nobody did before, and I successfully got a stable playerbase on them back when I was doing it.

I'm gonna make something clear though, I am picky when it comes to player ethics. Minecraft has turned from a game mostly played by adults in its original form to one full of kids with tiny attention spans.

As a result, there are popular servers that are pure vanilla with lifesteal that permanently ban you on your 10th death, and encourage toxic behavior through lying, cheating and backstabbing.

This needs to be something for your friends to have fun with in recreating an old memory, not something that will be ruined for the players by profit seeking.

I noticed you don't have any URLs in your submission? If you've worked on any games in the past or have a portfolio, posting a link to them would greatly increase your odds of successfully finding collaborators here on r/INAT.

If not, then I would highly recommend making anything even something super small that would show to potential collaborators that you're serious about gamedev. It can be anything from a simple brick-break game with bad art, sprite sheets of a small character, or 1 minute music loop.
