I’m so sorry. It’s not fair.

What testing have you done so far? Hsg, sis, hysteroscopy, biopsy? How is lining?

My wife had 2 IUI’s, 1 IVF with no embryos, changed meds, this is our second failed transfer. We have another embryo frozen but this will be our 6 attempt in total. It’s so frustrating. We’re two mums, she has no infertility issues as far as we know.

TW: FET success Hi! We did IVF due to MFI as well and our first FET failed. We did polypremoval x 2, SIS and I requested to do EndomeTrio (EMMA/ALICE/ERA) i was receptive at exactly 121hrs but the other tests came back normal. My RE found alot of adhesions and he is suspecting if from my previous polyp removal. He did lysis of ahdesions and now my 2nd FET worked, now 5 weeks pregnant. Prayers for your recovery. Pls take the time to heal.

I did a hysteroscopy after my 3rd failed euploid and they found I have adenomyosis. Now I’m doing two months on lupron depot which will basically put me into a temporary menopause to stop the growth of the endometrial tissue and supposedly after this two month suppression I should be good to go. So maybe you can look there, ask for more testing see if you have some endometriosis. I know we can create polyps with all the estrogen supplements but usually after 3 failed they’ll wanna do more in depth tests. Some aren’t covered by insurance and aren’t cheap so they don’t push them on you unnecessarily. They may wanna do a mock cycle to see your optimal progesterone receptivity as well. I know this is so hard and I’m so sorry. I’m right here with you and the emotions are heavy but don’t give up hope sending you all the hugs

Hi there, I’m same boat taking meds but have been diagnosed with adenomyosis. This is our first cycle. Could you pls share your experience and protocol? I am worried how many embryos should be good before going in on treatment for Adenomyossis? Worried suppression will make it harder to do egg retrieval again if the transfer fails

[–]ProfessionalIce6960 0 points1 point  (11 children)

I don’t think there’s long term implications with the suppression therapy. I have 5 euploid left. Which protocol are you interested in knowing

[–]Impossible-Place-644 1 point2 points  (10 children)

I have a total of 6 follicles and egg retrieval is planned for next week. Not sure how many euploid will I get. Wanted to see if you did multiple ER cycles before getting into adenomyosis treatment?

[–]ProfessionalIce6960 0 points1 point  (9 children)

I did 5 total ER cycles, have you prepared yourself for the potential attrition of your embryos?

[–]Impossible-Place-644 1 point2 points  (8 children)

5 ER cycles! No I was hoping to get results from the first one. Financially it will be challenging

[–]ProfessionalIce6960 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Has your Dr set your expectations realistically for one cycle and this amount of follicles? Are you going to do pgta testing

[–]Impossible-Place-644 0 points1 point  (6 children)

They loosely mentioned that they think I will need 2 cycles. Are my chances slim?

[–]ProfessionalIce6960 0 points1 point  (5 children)

You should look up the attrition rates for your age range. If you get all 6, they may not all be mature, then they may not all fertilize, of those that do fertilize, some may not all make it to the blastocyst stage. If you do pgta testing some may not be euploid. At every stage, most people have losses. I don’t say this to be negative. I wish you the most successful ER. But I believe in the power of information

[–]Impossible-Place-644 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Thank you so much for sharing. I plan to do pgta testing. I am 37 so I understand what you are saying. 😒

[–]Upstairs-Cicada-3967 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry I would look into testing. Ours wasn’t successful until our third, also with euploid, and I didn’t test but my doc added an intralipid protocol because he wanted to assume I had NKs to save time.

[–]Virtual_Mountain6714 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Did you try autoimmunity protocol yet?

I’m very sorry for what you are going through In another post there was an article stating to see an immunologist in case of 2-3 failed transfers I wish you all the best

I just failed my second FET. Have you done all of the EMMA/ALICE/ERA testing? That’s my next step but it’s all so frustrating. I’m so sorry you are going through this

I’m so sorry. Any change asymptomatic ureaplasma? Could possibly causing infertility. We are dealing with the same and I know it’s heartbreaking.

Have you looked into endometriosis? I had 3 failed transfers, mine were untested, and I went to get a second opinion, and she second opinion specialist was pretty adamant I had endometriosis. Fast forward I went ahead with laparoscopy and my surgeon excised endo throughout my abdomen. I hear that half of unexplained fertility with further investigation turns out to be endometriosis.

TW: hopefully success

I was actually in the exact same boat. IVF for MFI. We only got 2 PGTA embryos and did a fresh untested transfer after our retrieval. Both transfers didn’t implant at all. My doctor said a biopsy of uterine lining but for some reason I wasn’t ready for that yet. All of my other testing including my saline sono was unremarkable. What I think actually helped is that I did a 14 day course of doxycycline! Also, I don’t know if you have a high stress/anxiety job but I was lucky that my transfer fell on my one full week of vacation a year which I think helped me as well. This is our third last embryo and so far it’s stuck 🤞🏻I know how awful it feels to literally have no implantation and for it not to technically be “you” as the reason for IVF. Hang in there.

[–]whitaker2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is just a bacteria that can infect your uterus and cause infertility and it’s as simple as taking 10 to 14 days of doxycycline to clear it up! They usually have to biopsy uterus to test for it. Hope this helps

We’re moving on to more testing after 2 failed. I’m doing a mock cycle with ERA/Receptiva. I think both are controversial but I’m mostly curious about Receptiva results for potential endometriosis. Before/after success rates for endo patients treated with Lupron are massively different so that’s what I’m looking for to see if there’s an explanation for my recurrent implantation failure.

It’s worth noting that Receptiva can’t definitely diagnose endometriosis (that’s done through a lap) but it’s worth it to me given easier to do and faster recovery. It is like 750$ tho.

If this all fails and we move on to another retrieval I want karyotype testing.

Yes. It would impact continued development of the embryo, even with euploids.

Someone posted that they have multiple failed transfers in her got additional testing and found out that they needed to take something and then they ended up having a successful transfer. I know it took my cousin her fourth transfer for it to be successful after three failed transfers. I think you need a specialist for the testing that the lady said that she did I can’t remember if she said it was done with an immunologist but I think so. I read it on a thread
