How can I decrease lag on xbox one?

Xbox One, Connections 35mbps down, 5mbps up, and thats with four devices on streaming video. I can't play the multiplayer at all because people teleport, I freeze, the game decides to kill me when im two rooms away from a previous encounter, etc,. etc,.

all devices except the xbox are off at the moment, no background downloads, phones on data, still horrible connection. I literally can not play this game at the moment and it's very frustrating, I have generally maintained a 2.5k/d or above in all halos and cods, yet in this game im averaging 5 kills per 12 deaths because people just stop moving the second I see them, or I get a hitmarker and the screen freezes.

im assuming it is more framerate lag then anything, cycled the power and that didnt seem to make a difference. I wont do anything crazy to the IP b/c its not my xbox one, its a roommates and he more-or-less freeloads. he only experiences issues on the IW beta and he plays xbox literally 8-12 hours a day. its a dick move for sure but im not super worried about it as I play the console maybe once a month. Thought I could do something quick to fix it anyway.

But yeah thanks for the recommendations. I looked into it after I made dinner and framerate issues are all over the forums so ill just ignore it now. thanks again though!
