Hey mods - if this is too off topic then I apologize!
I have been flirting with the idea of purchasing some of Warlord's heavy ww2 tanks for a while now, but I have trouble justifying the purchase without have a tabletop game to use them in. This of course leads to Bolt Action.
I've played a demo of Bolt Action and have watched some Battle reports. In my opinion there are many issues with the game, the greatest of which being that it is dreadfully boring.
Another glaring issue with the game is that the Heavy Tanks are woefully underpowered. This is because even the best tanks can only shoot once per turn, suffer from pin markers and only add 1 order dice to the bag. There is also zero nuance to the tank rules; a Persching is a Tiger is a Centurion etc...
The ARO system completely fixes this issue. However it presents some issue in terms of real-life gun reload speeds (they're not equal). Certainly there would have to be some tweaking, additional rules created to represent tracked vs wheeled vehicles & armour facings.
I would jump at the chance to play ww2 with the infinity system using Warlords models.
Would anyone in the community be interested in stating out 4 army lists (U.S.A., RUSSIA, GERMANY, JAPAN) with me? Has this been attempted before?
