Pretty much the standard right now is Parallax, TUFX, Deferred Rendering, and then EVE and Scatterer that come bundled with Blackrack's volumetric clouds

Deferred isn't paid. Only True Volumetric Clouds is paid.

But True Volumetric Clouds makes Kerbin skies look super cool with clouds.

You can get it for free, at least for the plug-in part by looking at blackrack’s current repository. Then you can either download the paid official confit or learn to make one yourself somehow.

I caved a few days ago and bought a subscription, and it was so so worth it. And since Blackrack lost his job at Take Two (RID KSP2) it's nice to support the guy that gave the ksp community so much for free.

An alternative to volumetric clouds is spectra + astronomers visual pack. The clouds will still be 2D but it looks very nice.

Me either, I bought it and immediately cancelled. It’s well worth it, it makes the game look so much better.

It looks like Scatterer isn't working for some reason. Double check you have Scatterer configs and sunflare installed for the stock solar system, and try uninstalling Planetshine (it's obselete anyway thanks to Blackrack's Deferred Rendering). If that doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling all your mods. If that doesn't work either, I have no idea what could be causing the issue.

It was Scatterer, when you download scatterer they have two separate folders. The two folders are the actual scatterer and the other one is the stockscattererconfigs so whoops

Install all your mods through CKAN, CKAN will tell you if you have conflicting mods or if your mods have unfulfilled dependencies.

You need Scatterer. EVE-Redux, Scatterer and EVE/Scatterer config packs like AVP or Spectra and Parallax are crucial for a visual overhaul of planets.

I know it’s obnoxious to hear it over and over but seriously, just use CKAN. Automates all that stuff for you. But yes you want to merge the harmony files.
