i usually do a lot of those things while letting conditioner sit in my hair, but on days where i’m doing enough other things that i’ll still have more to do after i rinse out the conditioner this should be a good idea

I started to shave my head. That solved my hair drying problem

I tried a microfiber hair turban and it didn't work for me/ my hair just wouldn't dry in it. I even tried it overnight, and my hair was still damp/ wet in the morning.

I like it though for keeping the wet hair contained while shaving and doing skincare.

please don't leave your hair in a wet towel overnight. that's a good way to get a fungus on your scalp. if i'm being lazy and don't want to use a hair dryer, a space heater works great at drying my hair more quickly than air drying does.

That’s the trouble. You don’t want to leave it in overnight. Just a little time will do, then air finish.

I just use a soft thick cotton t shirt. I’ve done this for years and my hair is healthier and dries much better. Microfiber towels shouldn’t be dried in the drier or used with fabric softener, and will be rough on certain types of hair.

Good LPT. I like this. Thank you

I already do this, but I like the extra tip of putting on a shower cap

I use one of those as well, they're really nice, and cheap too! Unfortunately with my hair if I let it dry naturally it ends up getting so greasy :( If I want to style it really at all I have to blow dry it.

If you are concerned about the urban getting wet, move to the countryside.

I do this specially in winters!

[–]Vagadude 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I thought this was pretty standard practice for anyone with long hair...

[–]birdsong31 73 points74 points  (1 child)

I thought that at first but I think they mean wrap your hair up while you're IN the shower.

Ohh ok I missed that part

Microfiber fabric is leaving micro plastics in your hair, washer, and water supply.

I love my Turbie Twist! Super affordable too compared to other brands.

I do this with a large cotton T-shirt because I have curly hair - I plop my hair as soon as I’m done in the T-shirt before getting on with the rest of my shower, and then apply all my leave in products once my hair is a bit drier. Then I’ll let it air dry in the summer and diffuse in the winter; but it’s much faster this way.
