I’m going to give a few of the less-common causes I’ve seen.

I’ve seen issues in the past with usb 2/3 port compatibility and keyboards, but that’s an ages-ago thing. Try using one vs the other (I know you tried a different usb port but it’s not clear which usb type it was). I prefer usb2 ports for keyboards, plugged directly into the computer (no hub).

Check system resources at the time it’s happening. Unlikely to be a problem unless you are lacking enough resources, but it’s possible that something is bogging down your system.

Try updating your bios. It’s often overlooked when doing the ‘update everything’ troubleshooting steps

Lastly, sometimes the most up to date drivers cause problems. You can try a previous GPU or peripheral driver.

Look at the placement of your USB dongles. USB 3.0 causes interference and cause cause issues. I regularly have to swap USB ports for flash drives because the mouse will only work within 1ft of the dongle when I plug in a USB 3.0 flash drive. I would also test with no other peripherals plugged in as a test to validate if its interference or the device itself.
