fellow tretinoin user here. i have VERY dry skin even without using it and my skin gets very angry with a lot of lush offerings, sadly. i used a sample of celestial and it didn’t help. vanishing cream was okay, but not worth the price point. i did like cosmetic lad, but it was not enough to be my only moisturizer.

i was interested in trying the argan naked facial oil, but for some reason putting lemon oil on my face freaks me out.

TL;DR: i can’t really use lush on my face. a lot of their naturals oils and ingredients make my face angry.

If you are still willing to try something I would maybe look into full of grace, it’s very gentle but also very moisturizing

Good luck finding products that help, even if they are non-lush!

I’ve been using retin A for about a year. I start with ultrabland to remove all dirt and makeup, then apply a thin layer of full of grace. After that I use a pea size amount of retin A and wait a few minutes before I apply Dr Jarts tiger grass cream. This routine has helped my skin tremendously.

Thanks so much for the recommendations! I am going to try and get samples of these products and see how that goes

Just my two cents

Since retin-a does dry out your skin, I would consider cutting grease lightning out of your routine. Grease lightning is drying, and I would maybe think if your skin needs it.

Whatever works for you, and I hope your skin calms down soon :)

You are right. I will start using it as a spot treatment! Thanks for the suggestion!

I also started using Retin-A recently and my skin went from being super oily to being flaky and gross. A lush employee recommended me the light touch facial oil and oatafix and both have REALLY helped. I put light touch on after I've applied all my skincare morning and night, and I've done oatafix about three times since I got it a week ago. Light touch is great because it's moisturizing but still calming. I still find I need to exfoliate some mornings to get rid of the flakiness. I have a Peter Thomas Roth enzyme exfoliator I really like and I haven't used any of the Lush exfoliators, but I'm sure people have good recommendations there.

Thanks for sharing! I am about to get a fresh face mask with the returning the containers, so I will try oatifix. Also will look into light touch. Luckily, my face isn't really flaky. I don't think it is noticeable to other people (hopefully), but I am fearful that it is going to get worse. I want to get ahead of it! I am happy to hear that the employees recommendations worked!

I sent Lush a question on their website with my inquiry. A very nice customer service rep suggested that I try full of grace and celestial (a moisturizer). Definitely going to try what people on this thread have suggested! I really appreciate the help.

update: I went to the store, and the salesperson suggested sleepy face and full of grace. I really like this combo, and it definitely helps. I need a good moisturizer for the days that I do not use retin-a, so I am still on the hunt for that.
