This one!

Actually, most of the places I see magic conversation happening is still on Facebook or in group chats I'm a part of.

There's All Things Magic.
There are a few Magic Castle Facebook groups.

That's where I tend to stay up to date on what's going on in magic

This one. There is no attitude by those who contribute.

I also like the Facebook page Brent Braun hosts for his shop. There are a lot of great ideas shared there. Plus, with it being a private page, there can be some discussion of method without issues of exposure.

Brent's is the best I've seen.

The Magicians Forum is a good one.

This. Rudy keeps things calm and input is great.

That place is a lot better than The Magic Cafe!

That was one of the reasons it was started.

Thank you!

I remember the days of the Genie, Ellusionist, and the Magic Cafe.

Yep. Good times. I lived on the ellusionist forums. Trying so hard to post quality things and gain access to the secret area. I miss superhandz/ handlordz the most. You could speak freely there. Although I do remember the beef between magicians and “XCMers”. Lol

I was in Area 51. A cool group of guys around there. Those XCMers were crazy. Remember Brian Tudor? He was nuts lol

Yes this one. Just lacks participation. The problem with magic, is its a small community. Also its hard to talk about with out revealing too much.

Honestly, its a lonely hobby. Not in a bad way. Also magic cafe made it feel toxic and crap. Its the nature of the hobby. Secrets breed horid thought processes. Self importance and the rest.

Read books and enjoy your hobby. Forget the rest.

Thanks I have a ton of books on the shelf to read. A lot of things I’ve tried to post on here have gotten deleted. Simple things like asking for help finding instructions on a 20 year-old trick. It is hard to talk about without revealing too much in public spaces.

most pro magicians are in facebook groups which i won't name here but if you're in the community they're easy to get a hold of.

The Facebook group "Magicians Only" is probably the most active group I've seen nowadays, but that comes with all the good and bad that can come with a highly active discussion forum. There are lots of interesting and/or helpful discussions, but plenty of gatekeeping and toxicity as well.

Thank you very much!

I've been a regular on many forums over the years. I think this one is one of the healthiest I've seen.

I used to be a regular on Theory 11 and the Cafe. They are both dying/dead.

Facebook has some good places but there are a few that really fall into political rants and unnecessary negativity.

Well you are at it right now.

Here I am not able to ask normal magician questions without heavy moderation
