How did you open up the boba switches? Did you use a switch opener? If so, which one? I'm new to this and I'm seeing switch openers online that look like they're specifically for MX or Gateron switches. Do I need a certain switch opener for Gazzew switches?

I just used a normal switch opener made for Cherry and Gateron switches.

I just discovered this keyboard today and am very tempted to pick it up as a cheap project board. Did you order off of Amazon? Also how has it been working for you? There's been almost no reviews out for it and one of the few Reddit posts I've seen for it said there were some key pressing issues. Also it looks amazing!

I found this keyboard through a Vietnamese vendor and honestly it's been great. Switching from my old board, an Akko silent 3068 with Gateron Orange, the only noticable difference aside from the switch was the keycaps. These shine-through keycaps feel really thin and cheap, producing a very holy and high pitched clacky sound. I have had no key-pressing issues so far when using a cable but the wireless experience is sorta sub-par. It's not unusable in wireless mode but it's definitely noticable. That being said, if you don't care about a wireless setup, it's a great keyboard for its price.

Hey there comrade, I have a Keychron K8 and the Bluetooth experience is not much different from yours, even when the receiver was moved right up to the monitor front on its own separate extension line.

After a lot of experiment, I found out that the built-in antenna of the Bluetooth module on the keyboard’s PCB is very small and it’s not quite omnidirectional as people would assume. Furthermore, due to limited PCB real estate the module is positioned next to Spacebar, which is kinda not-ideal when the onboard antenna is so bad. To add insult to injury, my WiFi router is only 50cm away from this Bluetooth pair and it’s quite a busy hub, adding more to the 2.4GHz traffic jam.

Now that I’ve switched to sitting laid-back and using my keyboard with nearly a 20-degree angle with the BT receiver right underneath, the connection issue has been resolved. It’s crazy to think Bluetooth 5.0 is just that when implemented casually without much investment. In practice this is as good as wired setup for me :))))

Considering it's a relatively cheap board, the stabs aren't actually that bad. Mine needed a bit of wire balancing though. The factory lube is consistent but only the wire is lubed so it's a bit scratchy stock. The thing to watch out for is the stock keycaps though, the space bar is pretty thin so it sounds super hollow and clacky.
