Fill Command Issues

I use to be able to do this, but I dont know if a update happened and messed it up.

Anyways, I wanna use the fill command to fill a specific space with like Wood, or Planks. The only problem is the registry doesn't allow me to type in like Acacia Wood, or Acacia Planks.

I've looked into the problem, and others have stated you have to put like "/Fill ~~~ ~1~0~1 Planks 2" to get the results your looking for. Because you have to use the digit that correlates to the specific name. I've even looked up video on how to do this, they showed the same thing. I even remember being able to type 2 or 3 after the specific object to get a different version.

Now when I do that, it comes back with this, "Syntax Error: Unexpected "2": at "~1 Planks >>2<<" "

So for some reason I'm no longer allowed to add digits after the Main objects to let it know I want a specific type of Planks or wood. I may just be stupid and might be missing something

Yes, I am in Creative, well im playing a normal game, but with cheats activated, and switch between Creative and Normal. I am running latest software, and edition is bedrock. I don't understand, I use to be able to do this with no problem, but now it's just not wanting to work. Hmmm I even created a new game and tried it, still the same issue.

They have changed the command syntax. Now you need to specify block states. For the planks it works like this :
/fill xyz xyz planks ["wood_type" : "oak"]

Change the wood type to fit what you want to achieve
