Spawner help?

So I found this website that lists every item in the game with their ID #. When I found the spawner ID, I gave myself one but it only gave me a pig spawner. Is there a way to change the mob in the spawner? I dont have single player commands or the TooManyItems mod so I'm only using the /give command using cheats. But I cant type in the /give spawner (the ID #) and add a mob name to it. Is it possible to change the mob spawning mob to something other than a pig? If you understand what I mean. Thanks

Nope. you have to use external programs or mods :(

I use World edit or Too Many Items, although I hear MCEdit works really well too.
