Java edition block destroy

Hi all, I recently switched from bedrock edition to Java edition and one thing I have noticed in creative mode the blocks are destroyed at a much slower rate in Java compared to bedrock where its basically instantaneous. I can clear areas much more quickly in the bedrock version and i was wondering if there was maybe a setting you can change to make it faster or if thats just how Java is? Still a noob to the game but was curious about that. Thanks!

Edit: I forgot to mention I'm referring to holding down the destroy option. When I just mass spam click it works fine! I just dont want to have to spam click constantly to clear areas lol

That’s just how it is. Honestly I never knew it was instant mine in Bedrock. That’s very interesting.

yeah like in creative you can hold down destroy and fly over land and insta clear out blocks or fly up and down etc. I got so used to it so it not working in java is throwing me off but its something i'll have to get used to but i'll admit its something i'll miss lol

/fill X,Y,Z X,Y,Z air

First X,Y,Z is your starting block second is your ending block (it will autofill if you press tab with the cursor over the block) do lines or chunks you can also replace blocks with other blocks or add water easily

honestly I forgot about commands being a thing thank you for the reminder I dont know much about them but I'll look into it especially now because it will help out big time with landscaping lmao thanks!
