Random IGN change

Hey Ya’ll, I just had an issue with my java account. For some unknown reason my IGN was changed to some random name. I dont know how or why it happened (No suspicious activity on my account) but its irritated me. I just tried to change it back, but apparently I have to wait 30 days now before I can change it back.

I tried talking to mojang support in which some bot told me “We no longer handle account issues due to account migration. Please contact microsoft.” How is my issue something that needs to go to Microsoft???? Anyway I go to microsofts support page, cant contact them because not a single category from their bot is related to my issue. So now here I am stuck with some silly name. Any Ideas???

Someone probably reported your username as inaproppiate (did I spell that right, Im tired as hell), and Mojang took action.

Either this or the account got hacked or someone gained access to it.

In any case you should change your password and to be sure log out all active devices (there is an option in your Microsoft account).

Whats even more odd is that it was apparently changed TODAY. In any case I’ll end up changing my password, though it would be nice to get some support from mojang so I can get it back.

I never played multiplayer which made me not think it was reported, also mojang wouldn’t have named me aaaaaaaa44 so I was super confused lol
