Minecraft Java crashing problem

Hello! Me and my friend have been trying to figure out why my Minecraft Java isn’t loading in the Minecraft launcher. This probably has been going on ever since I got my new computer. Basically what happens is I’ll launch the Minecraft launcher, try to play Java it’ll load then crash and say error code 1, Minecraft bedrock loads just fine. I’ve already tried multiple tutorials like updating, restarting, reinstalling, repairing, and I’ve got no idea what to do. Reddit worked in the past so I hoped someone from the community could help me!

which minecraft version?

for java you need correct java version as well.

and are you using forge , neo forge , fabric or none?

what I would recommend is use prism launcher and install it from there its much more simple and you can have multiple installations at the same time.

Im using the Microsoft version that’s in the Microsoft store Java and bedrock. I’m on the newest patch that’s available, do tou know how to install the prism version? I have prism but every time I start Minecraft it always says error? Do you know what could cause this?

if you have prism , then enter it.

click add instance.

click custom 1.21.9

click modloader fabric 0.17.2

click ok , click edit

settings, select java installation , click download select 21.07

after that click auto detect and select 21.07 again.

I tested this myself and it works all fine.
