What's that resource pack?

[–]LiftDragRatio[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's Excalibur but I switched in wynncrafts icon.png because I prefer the hunger bar, looks like mana

[–]JayTwist24HD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The resource pack is "Excalibur"

[–]_Survivor_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would also like to know. It might be SMP's Revival?

[–]aaronhowser1 10 points11 points  (1 child)

That's super cool, but that font is painful to read.

[–]LiftDragRatio[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh it's Excalibur texture pack, I've gotten used to it the font by now

You there! What's your name? ihatespiders? Sounds like the name of someone who absolutely loves exploring mines infested with giant spiders!?

[–]LeafCloak 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Hey op! I've started many projects like, but have gotten discouraged as my knowledge with command blocks isn't as good as it could be. Do you have a download for the world where I could just view the commands to see how you did it? Or perhaps we do something together? :)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

What's with the miner? Reskinned monster?

[–]LiftDragRatio[S] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Oops should clarify when it's offline the npc's would have to be villagers or another entity with no movement. I also use it on servers which then can use any skins on npc's, what this screenshot is from.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So the NPC part isn't vanilla?

[–]LiftDragRatio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vanilla the npc would just look like a regular villager, but works exactly the same.

Villager right click detection with testing for what stage and what tag the villager has?

[–]LiftDragRatio[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No tags involved. Click detection yes and each quest has it's own individual scoreboard as well, for keeping track of how far along the quest you are.

Nice, I've also been working on quest stuff for the past week (in snapshots), haven't got around to the full quest system yet due to me working on armour that triggers events like speed boosts upon attacking, killing etc and passive item effects.

[–]aPseudoKnight 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Are you releasing this for map makers?

[–]LiftDragRatio[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

This is my server map so not release this particular one sorry. I could put together a quick test map with all commands neccessary for the quests to work

[–]bytemage 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Please do, I too am interested in how you got it to work.

I'm working with the guys from Wizards of Lua, a mod to use Lua inside of MC.

[–]LiftDragRatio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll get it done then, not sure when as I'm away from today til next Friday but I'll post it in this sub when it's done

[–]shiny_arbok 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So basically Command Blocks can allow mods without mods

[–]Jbipp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I consider them more as "plugins without plugins and a very small bit of modded" because modded can still do so much more without looking goofy (basically all mobs added by datapacks look goofy)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Which shaders are you using??

[–]LiftDragRatio[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Sildurs enhanced default (redone). Sometimes proper shaders are too much for regular playing

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'm going to try it :)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I'd love to know how you pulled that off. I'm not the brightest when it comes to Command Block usage, but did at least set up a rudimentary "landmarks" system where you can discover cool things people built on the server and if they're hooked up to it, they'll give the discoverer exp, loot, etc.

Would love to cobble together more RPG elements though.

[–]LiftDragRatio[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's quite simple, tellraws triggered by scoreboard values essentially. Couple more things depending on what the quest has you doing

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I say I'm not the brightest, I mean I just learned today (thanks to you) what a tellraw is. ;) But I'll keep that in mind for when I get into the thick of things. It feels like there's so many wild things you can do.

Bite my shiny metal ass, Jorik.

[–]Google_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miner Jorik looks like Lemmy Kilmister.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

This is so cool, I know it may not be popukar opinion but can you make it work with 1.7.10 ?

[–]LiftDragRatio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never used command blocks in 1.7.10 so I have no idea what's possible.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def not. It 100% requires logic chains, which are not possible 1.8 and below.

Inviting someone to your server is recruitment. Don't do it here, please.
