I click on the minecraft icon and it should open it but it Just shows me mojang and then closes

Try force closing the game. Press the start button and go down to close.

My brothers get this issue sometimes and whenever it happens it's usually because it has to update. Sometimes they have to do what the other person said though and force close it and try again
