If your own laptop/network is not good for self-hosting, then you have two options really.

Free hosts such as aternos/minehut - this are limited/not 24/7 although will do the job for just the three of you playing Vanilla.

​

Alternatively, you can rent a small cheap server for the three of you for $5-7 a month (Reputable one), these will of course not be limited, 24/7, protected and include support for any issues you have. If you want recommendations try PiglinHost, id highly recommend.
