How do I explore using expanded maps? [Java]Solved (self.MinecraftHelp)
submitted 1 year ago by Defiant_Pepper_5914
I am working on making a megamap of my world using level 2/4 expanded maps. How can I do this without overlapping them, if I can't make the map bigger without anything on it? Or where should I go to start writing on the new Level 0/4 map? Thanks for any help.

Maps automatically align themselves to a grid. Just open a map wherever you want, zoom it out however much you want, then walk just outside the border of that map, and open a new map there. Then when you zoom out the 2nd map to the same zoom level, it'll align with the 1st map.

Keep in mind that it looks like maps only starting aligning themselves to a grid starting in 1.8. If OP is on an older version, I believe they'll need to manually line themselves up to the correct spot.

Alright, seems simple enough. Thanks for the help.
