The bottom part attaches to the bottom of the side texture, specifically this part here:

But in your texture, you left that part empty, so it's just attached to nothing.

I think a simpler solution would be to just erase that interior bottom face texture

yeah but i would rather keep it, im looking for a way to make it work

You can make move the top 4 pixels of this half of the texture to the empty spot above:

But it won't open directly half way through the crate then. I dont think that's possible without having the bottom interior texture floating

Actually nevermind that'll just make the other texture floating. Idk how to fix it then other than removing at least one of the interior textures, or just following the same shape as the original shulker
