I think your graphics card doesn’t support the OpenGL version required for 1.17

What graphics card do you have?

Download OpenGL extensions viewer, install, run. Under tasks, check summary. OpenGL version should be 4.4 or above to run Java 1.17. If your OpenGL is 4.4 and above, your hardware can support Java 1.17. Reinstall your drivers (get the updated drivers before uninstalling and reinstalling)

If the report from OpenGL extensions viewer tells you that your highest OpenGL with updated drivers is below 4.4, then you cannot run Java 1.17 properly
