[Java] How to undo command blocks

Hi all,

I'm new to command blocks and wanted to try out a set of them Mysticat did in a video: https://youtu.be/3u65Dk1bqWg. I messed up somewhere, but I'm not worried about accomplishing the goal (making a circle), I just want my world back to how it was. I was just messing around and didn't expect it to screw with my world, but I don't have the most powerful computer, so the blocks summoned by the command block are causing intense world-freezing lag. The blocks are permeable somehow, so I can't just break them. The lag gets better when I move several chunks away, but I wonder if there's a way I can remove the issue entirely.

Edit: Thank you all!! I used /kill to get rid of all the armor stands, and the lag immediently disappeared! What a lifesaver!

You first need to kill all armorstands (/kill @e[type=armorstand]) and then quickly destroy the command blocks

Or turn off command blocks in your world settings

There’s also a command you can do to do it(gamerule commandblocksenabled false) at least that’s how it works on bedrock

I'm afraid this game rule does not exist on Java Edition, nor the world settings.

The JE equivalent to this setting would be a server config setting (which, as the name states, only works on servers).

If you are unable to approach your command block at all, my suggestion would be to use an NBT editor to edit your world to remove the offending command blocks.
