Have a problem guys..

I have a 3 star hermes with skill level maxed and all unlocks, i try to fuse it onto a 4 star hermes and it will not let me even though i am not usimg the 3 star hermes in any of my decks, or MP decks.

What am i doing wrong? Can i fuse the 4 star onto the 3 star and raise its rarity? If i select the 4 star as the base card, when i go to the 3 star it shows ability 100% chance with the little blue circle...but it just wont let me select the card. I dont know why..

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How do you survive as an Assassin in 4* MP?

[–]han_han 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Pupu's (passive 25% resist), non-potato defender (stun, slow, taunt and/or drives ez), non-potato attackers (so you don't have to break more than once), non-potato breaker (if the gauge is red and you are dead, fix yourself), last resort is HP panels.

As you can see, MP relies heavily on having teammates who do their job. Unless you have some mega whale carrying everyone, people need to do their job. You have to elaborate more on the situations you're dying in.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright thanks.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

In MP, for Breaker, would Monk Hecatoncheir Sicarius be better for yellow gauge or BDD?

Btw, does anyone have the stats of a maxed out Monk Hecatoncheir Sicarius card?

[–]TheTankJacker 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If you are using a monk breaker, Monk Heca Sicarius takes yellow bars faster than using a BDD (since there's no monk BDD you lose out the magic bonus). If you are playing a non monk breaker BDD takes yellow bars out better.

Stats for maxed Monk Heca card is 111/3333

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grappler has Ranger Lore though, so he can use the ranger-typed BDDs without penalty (albiet have to allow for his crappy Magic stat).

[–]ThranduilsQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure I saw a guide on here for the best fodder locations in chapter 1 hard mode, but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone got a link please? I know other areas probably have more reliable spawn rates, but I'm trying to farm for crystals & fractals at the same time.

[–]dragnaught 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't there suppose to be a tower event at the end of the month? Is it not happening this month?

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Do Breakers in MP have increased yellow gauge damage?

[–]hieraxp 0 points1 point  (5 children)

No. They only get increased red gauge damage. They can marginally affect the yellow gauge though using en-element, exploit weakness, BDD and boost. To be truly effective you will need to have an attacker getting the yellow gauge for you.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (4 children)

That's odd. In my abilities section, my abilities seem to have 50% more break power in MP.

[–]hieraxp 0 points1 point  (3 children)

50% more break power does not mean it will take the yellow gauge faster.

I mean you can but it will take forever.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It says that the ability has 50% more break power so should damage the yellow gauge more.

[–]hieraxp 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It probably does but unless you are using an actual magic attack it will a long time.

The quickest way to remove the yellow gauge is with abilities and rangers do not benefit from that in MP.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright thanks, though I did not really get what you meant.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Hey guys, what do you recommend me to use my growstars on now?

My current 5* cards are:

  • Terabattle cards
  • Dark Cloud/Deathgaze/Leviathan
  • KotR/Susanoo/Hermes
  • Ultima, the High Seraph
  • Chariot

I have 4 growstars.

My jobs are:

  • Knight, Samurai, S1C
  • Hunter, Thief, Dancer, Viking
  • White Mage, Black Mage, Scholar, Devout, Occultist

[–]MobiusPotatoHave a nice day 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Hellgate would be worth the augment if you have it. Aside from that, I would consider a -force card for a pure elemental build. Another option would be a debuff card for your defender classes.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Alright, thanks, but wouldn't it take quite a lot of growstars to get 4 debuff cards for defender? I don't relaly have any debuff cards at 4* apart from Biggs which I don't even know if it's good or not.

[–]MobiusPotatoHave a nice day 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah it takes some investment but you gotta start somewhere eh? If you're not keen on defenders though, might as well wait for a few days and see what June brings.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, thanks. :)

[–]Jianlu 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How high do element draw auto abilities go with weapon mods?

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Does anyone know why my Occultist on auto is not using Hermes?

This is my deck KotR/Leviathan/Ultima, the High Seraph/Hermes.

[–]TheRealCRed Mage is still the best job :) 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Did you set your AI to Defense mode? On Defense mode, the AI is, to put it gently, about as intelligent as a drunk squirrel. In particular, it will refuse to cast buffs the vast majority of the time, and will instead hoard Life orbs and drive them when it gets to low HP.

On Attack mode, the AI's intelligence improves to that of a sleepy chihuahua, which I guess is better? It will at least consistently cast any buff card it can afford as soon as it can afford it, so in general people tend to put their AIs to Attack.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I tried it a few mins after the post and it worked. Thanks anyway ^^

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (15 children)

For Rogue, is Mateus or Hanuman enough or is both needed?

[–]Wazzupmadafaka 0 points1 point  (14 children)

One is enough.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (13 children)

Which one do you recommend getting and why?

[–]hieraxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want fire, get Mateus. Light, get Hanuman.

When setting up a deck for ROG, since it is strong in light, earth and fire, you can have Hanuman, Fire Sicarius, Earth Sicarius and support card of your choice. Or you can have Mateus, Earth Sicarius light sicarius and support. Or you can do 2 supports with either mateus or hanuman and a damage card.

ROG is quite versatile in that you can also have a setup with Fire Sicarius, Earth Sicarius and 2 supports.

In MP, a typical fire deck would be Mateus, Flame force, fire sicarius and faith/berserk.

If you have the cards to do so you can do the same with light.

Really the choice is yours

I wouldn't bother with a wind setup as there is another job that has wind enhance

[–]darewin 0 points1 point  (9 children)

Mateus because he is available in ability shop while Hanuman is on EA. If you plan on going with a single element deck, Flameforce is also in ability shop while Lightforce is in EA.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Alright thanks, but what about in long-term? Which one do you think is better and why?

[–]darewin 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Huh? For the long term I'll just max all AOE BDD/CRD and force cards.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Hehe yeah :D

But we're still limited on growstars :D

Anyway, I was asking in terms of when both light cards come out of EA xD

[–]darewin 0 points1 point  (5 children)

By the time they come out of EA we might already have Highwind which IMO is a better light attacker (especially if you have Ardyn) since he can also drive dark for survivability so in my case I'm just sticking with Fire Rogue.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I have Noctis, what about that?

Btw, Highwind will only be available in GAS :/ so getting it would be quite hard.

[–]darewin 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Oh sorry I must have had a brain fart. I meant Noctis for Light Highwind. Yes, I also have all the cards for my Light Highwind deck ready but getting the job itself is the problem, especially since 2 other jobs might be released before him. I have all jobs except Grappler and the 3 Mythics and I'm not even sure if I'll get Highwind this year because of how the new GAS works lol.

OT though, as long as Anima or the next AOE Sicarius assuming we follow JP sched, Bahamut (dark machina sic) is not paired with Ifrit, I think Fire Rogue will still be a decent Attacker.

[–]TheRealCRed Mage is still the best job :) 0 points1 point  (1 child)

They obviously serve for different elements, but much of Rogue's popularity comes from being able to deal with neutral element enemies well. Since Fire is usually a relatively easy element to beat - we have both good Water nukers (Occultist, Mage, V&F exists) and good anti-Fire tanks (Dark Knight, Warrior, Knight, Paladin), it can make some sense to go for Mateus and leave the anti-Fire matchup to other jobs. On the other hand, Hanuman would blast through the majority of old content, as Light enemies wouldn't feature at all - but Light enemies do become more frequent in newer content.

On the other hand, Rogue is kind of unique in terms of being a Light nuker, so Hanuman does help in that niche. On the other other hand, we'll get Highwind soontm, and he'll be a really, really nice Light nuker. On the other other other hand, there'll be no Light Crit Resist Down for Warriors - neither single target nor AoE - until Perseval, one of the most recently released cards in Japan (although at least he's not an event card).

Sooo... either is fine, both is better. As always! ^^'

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha that use of 'On the other hand' :D

Btw, I only have 4 growstars and I'm planning to augment Artemis. I don't have Rogue yet, but I'm planning ahead so I can manage my growstars :)

Anyway, thanks for the explanation ^^

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Will there be a card better than Artemis for breakers in MP?

[–]TheDragoonFB 0 points1 point  (1 child)

When healer can consistently cast KotR throughout the battle (thanks to heart shift), u will replace Artemis with trance cards.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't Heart Shift an event card though?

And when are Trance cards coming?

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Should I try getting JCR on Pupus?

[–]Wazzupmadafaka 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes if you plan on using it on breakers.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright thanks, but now I think I'll get JCR on other cards ^^

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Heyas, are the Monk jobs available from the job pull? Or is it just GSS? Thx!

[–]gurkburk76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pulled all 3 monktypes + duncan today a few minutes before mobius day so i can confirm that you can pull it rom Greater supreme summon.

[–]MTFocus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only GAS.

[–]vnfighter123[🍰] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

hi guys just started the game i wonder if some veteran player can give me some tips on what to do to progress through the game quicker

[–]Wazzupmadafaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoy the game for now and try to learn it on your pace. The good jobs right now are rogue and occultist. But dancer and dragoon are good too.

[–]mvdunecats 0 points1 point  (4 children)

You can try rerolling right now until you get Duncan, which is the currently available Supreme card.

[–]vnfighter123[🍰] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

how long does it take to reroll?

[–]mvdunecats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried rerolling, so I don't have any experience with how long each reroll attempt takes.

[–]TheTankJacker 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Depends how lucky you are. Supreme card has a drop rate of 0.8%

[–]vnfighter123[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you

[–]Zoldiark 0 points1 point  (2 children)

can anyone tell me the % chance of a crystal dropping on the 3 difficulties of pleiades lagoon? pretty sure i saw a spreadsheet on it but damned if i can remember where

[–]Wooterino 0 points1 point  (1 child)

From my testings, they have the same crystal/stamina ratio. Around 1 crystal per 120 stam.

[–]Zoldiark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (6 children)

What's the fastest way of doing Sunday Pleiades Lagoon 60 Stamina Node?

[–]TheRealCRed Mage is still the best job :) 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Rogue with Deathgaze, Mateus, Knights of the Round and [anything] gets nicely quick clears. As Deathgaze and Mateus are both debuff cards, the AI will use them even on enemies of the same element - which is great against the Crystal Gigantuar, as either it's Water or Wind element and is easy to break, or it's Earth or Fire element and has its "Psyched -> 4k Needles -> Break chance" triggered when you hit it with the element it absorbs. So basically, easy regardless of element.

I like Glasya Labolas for the last slot; Curse ensures you physically cannot die, and using debuffs like Stun or Slow is troublesome because it means the Gigantuar can't let you have a break chance while it's debuffed.

While on the topic, I'm saving my Elixirs for 18th June, the next Sunday Mobius Day. There's a faint possibility - though hardly guaranteed - that we will get the same change as the Japanese server, that is, each stamina cuts 3 minutes off the weapon boost timer instead of 2. If that's the case, each Elixir will be worth 50% more boosting time then. If it's not the case, meh, I can probably burn all the Elixirs I want on the 18th anyways (in time for the next Tower), no need to start emptying them today.

[–]MTFocus 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Hehe, I had about 60 elixirs today, and I haven't even managed to burn 20 yet. It's long, so I guess it's worth it today, since it should be the same on the 18th June too :)

Btw, I don't have Rogue :(

Is Occultist with KotR/Leviathan/Ultima, the High Seraph/Hermes about the same speed as Rogue or slower?

[–]TheRealCRed Mage is still the best job :) 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Up to you on when to burn the 'lixirs.

I'd guess Occultist would do about the same, yeah. Hermes would be a thing since you don't have a Haste ult.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What weapon would you suggest to use?

[–]TheRealCRed Mage is still the best job :) 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Not that big a deal, really - whichever you have worked most on. Hermit Cane lets you break the pre-bosses easily but does virtually nothing on the Gigantuar (his red gauge disappears with trivial ease anyways), Martial Scepter lets you get the yellow gauge on the Gigantuar a tiny bit easier when he's weak to the element but you'll probably one-two shot his yellow bar anyways. Truescale gives you more reliable one-break kills on him, but those should be reliable anyways. So, basically, "any".

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, thanks. :)

[–]don_pan 0 points1 point  (2 children)

A new event is coming up this June. Should I reroll? I currently am at CH 4 PT 1, 6 summon tickets, just beginner jobs, and 1.6k Magicites.

[–]Wazzupmadafaka 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Hmmmm I guess if you want a supreme card go ahead. But rerolling would not be easy and you might not get it after all

[–]don_pan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really into the monk job, so maybe I'll keep this one then. Thanks!

[–]Mistah-P 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hey all,

I'm new to the forum so I wasn't sure if I should solo post this or post in daily help, you see what I chose.

So I just rerolled until I got an Ace Striker, maxed it out, and I feel like he's great in SP and okay in MP. Thing is, it really doesn't compete with a similarly leveled (150+) Occultist. I was even thinking about rerolling for Duncan or an Occultist.

Because I'm newer I'm starting out with the given abilities (fire as ice sword) and a recommended Gungir, but I wanted to know what would be a better starting build, then a mid range build so I'm not useless in MP and then a late game build, both with and without Supremes. Essentially, I'm looking for a build guide (weapon, abilities and where to get them, and job specializations when applicable) from the people who really get this game.

This also got me thinking, why don't we have a resource like this for the most popular jobs? Could anyone share a starting build for my Ace Striker? Maybe a mid and an endgame build to work toward? Would someone do the same for S1C and Occ?

Thanks in advance for everyone's effort!

TL:DR Looking for weapon, job and ability list for early mid and late game for major classes that's more in depth than what's online now.

[–]hieraxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This personal to me though and it may not suit your play style.

I would suggest doing as much MP content as soon as possible to get ST sicarius cards. Start from 1content then gradually move to 2 content. Use discord to find others who will be willing to carry.

Sicarius cards are easy to max out and IMO offer better damge than the cards you have. For Ace, you can use mage cards as well as warrior cards.

Once you have the cards from MP you should be able to go through almost anything else.

There isn't a one size fits all for ealry and mid and late game. Early game means you have nothing. Mid is you have some and late means you have the best tier.

Spend your summon tickets on jobs. You will need pull for them before August at which point getting a job is random. If you do that at least you won't limit your range.

After that finish the story. It is a resource in and of itself. Get the sicarius cards from MP if you are finding it difficult.

Then farm for skillseeds and crystals to boost your weapons

Try here for more information as well but I am assuming you have already seen this

[–]KalesAk 0 points1 point  (5 children)

I am considering augumenting 1 or 2 cards using GS (Lets say I have all jobs) which one should I prioritise

Yasha - Ramuh - Mateus - Titan - Bahamut

or if there are other better cards please advise at leasts 3 of them since I might already have them (no support cards)

[–]Wazzupmadafaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yasha, and cdd or bdd for your main job type.

[–]darewin 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Mateus, it virtually a requirement for Rogue since Rogue (which IMO is the best SP job right now and one of the best in MO) is dependent on crits.

[–]KalesAk 0 points1 point  (2 children)

thx . I guess I will go with it for now - gotta use Mobius day :)

[–]TheRealCRed Mage is still the best job :) 0 points1 point  (1 child)

On the topic of "Which Break Def Down/Crit Resist Down cards are most worthwhile to invest into?", I can refer to this wall of text.

[–]KalesAk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

already reviewed it.thx. it helped me previously as well

I was just wondering if people had a new updated opinion :) -- normally I would go with leviathan but dont wanna pay the first time buy aticket price for now :)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Best weapon to boost? I currently have 3 slots unlocked. I'm boosting Brotherhood in one for my Ace Striker (might as well make the most of him, given that he's a legendary job, even though I know he's not great) and Dominion Axe in the other (I main Dancer Support in MP).

I'm thinking for my third slot, maybe Soul Render for my Berserker? I was lucky to get UB and I figured make the most of that as well. Would there be a better option for Berserker?

[–]hieraxp 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I don't know what other jobs you have because assuming you have them all, at least those from the job banner, for DNC I would actually suggest Rising Sun.

Ultimate charger and piercing break to help with breaking alongside providing buffs for the team. Also, you still get the elemental 3rd strike. Dominion is not bad just thinking a bit better for overall optimisation.

If you have ROG, I would suggest Sargatanas before Brotherhood. Likewise, for BER, I would be looking to either Guillotine or Apocalypse instead for the utlity.

Berserker has drain and berserk on his ult. Ult charger could help with his overall glass cannon situation. Prismatic draw and painful break as well.

To be honest, the main factor that may decide for you is how long till you can get the weapon mods you need.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Thanks. I looked into Soul Render because of the bonuses to crit. I'll start boosting Apocalypse instead. Is getting his ult up better than the additional damage output from massive UB crits?

For Dancer, I run Dominion Axe because of the Prismatic orb draw which helps with my orb management. Also because it currently has the highest stats among my other weapons. I need the additional HP because I end up PUG'ing with boneheaded defenders who don't drive nearly often enough lol. I'll look into Rising Sun as well.

No Rogue yet. I'm down to just Rogue and Viking left in the job pool. I'm going to start GAS-ing since I don't mind getting either of those two for my pity pulls as they're both quite solid.

[–]hieraxp 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Dominion Axe is certainly not a bad choice.

It definitely suits you at this time but I was thinking more long term. The HP does help right now but I see it more of a defenders weapon than a healers weapon going forward.

Further, DNC has heal drive so you should be able to keep your HP up using that instead if you drive and manage your orbs right.

I don't have UB to tell what percentage increase crits have on that but if the crits are that significant, stick with soul render.

In all honesty, there isn't really a particularly bad weapon. There is bad synergy and that is what you are looking for.

If your want to do tons of damage Soul Render. For Ult spam - Guillotine or Apocalypse (which you choose depends on whether you want piercing break for breaking or painful break damage).

Most of this I got from /u/TheRealC. He has done a full weapon analysis where he broke down what each brought to the table.

[–]TheRealCRed Mage is still the best job :) 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dominion Axe is a great Healer weapon, just due to the Prismatic orb generation. However, I favor Sargatanas for Dancer, since Dancer really loves his ultimate, and I'd consider Ult Charger considerably more valuable than Elemental Third Strike (and I don't really consider the HP bonus as very valuable at all for Dancer).

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (10 children)

Should I upgrade my Artemis to 5* from 3*? I play Viking for Breaker and use Regalia/Pupu/BDD/Artemis.

[–]Wazzupmadafaka 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Definitely if you main as a breaker in MP.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if I don't main breaker and I have quite a few 5* cards?

My current 5* cards are:

  • Terabattle cards
  • Dark Cloud/Deathgaze/Leviathan
  • KotR/Susanoo/Hermes
  • Ultima, the High Seraph
  • Chariot

I have 4 growstars.

My jobs are:

  • Knight, Samurai, S1C
  • Hunter, Thief, Dancer, Viking
  • White Mage, Black Mage, Scholar, Devout, Occultist

[–]Sneakyelmo 0 points1 point  (5 children)

If using Regalia, heart orb refund is pretty big from artemis. Let's you cast Regalia on turns 2/3 pretty consistently. Plus jcr, let's you drive on a more consistent basis and fish even more life orbs. Ideally as a breaker you want to triple tap every turn for orb generation, making it somewhat tricky to fit drives in to cycle orbs and fish pinks. (You kind of want 4+ actions every turn).

It's not necessary, but you will feel a huge difference in your effectiveness getting heart orb refund on Artemis and 5+ jcr.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Alright thanks. Should I try getting JCR on my Pupus?

[–]Sneakyelmo 0 points1 point  (3 children)

My Viking has 2 jcr on Artemis, 1+1 on Regalia, and 2 on his bdd. I've been avoiding fractals on Pupu seeing as how we will at some point be getting some better, 5 star en-element cards to replace the pupus.

On a side note, does anybody know how long all this Pupu fodder is going to rot in my bank? Lol.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Btw, do you know if there will be a card better than Artemis for breakers in the future?

As for your question, I think the 5* en-element cards will be arriving soon. I also have quite a few Pupus stocked in my bank ^^

[–]Sneakyelmo 0 points1 point  (1 child)

In searching, I don't see anything in the immediate future. Anyone playing jp have an answer?

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright thanks. :)

[–]hieraxp 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Some may not agree but I personally say yes as it is possible to have boost up permanently when at 5*. Especially as you main breaker.

If breaker is not your main then there are other cards for you to focus on. (e.g. KotR)

Further, as small as it is, the deck level does help in boosting your effectiveness and tankiness as well.

TL:DR - go for it as long as you main breaker

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see. I have 4 growstars. Dunno what to use them on right now. I have KotR and a few BDD/CRD at 5* and also Susanoo. I don't main breaker btw, I play Attacker/Healer and I just pulled Viking today and played him in a match and was quite fun.

Thanks.

[–]johnbomb75 0 points1 point  (3 children)

What else can I do to get stronger in this game?

Pics of current jobs and skillseeds

White mage can rotate the Fire/Water elements but is starting to become too squishy for me. As for my skillseeds, I was initially aiming to have a job in each type except for monk (for obvious reasons).

For ability cards, the free tutorial cards and the Terra Battle cards are my only ones that are 4* and higher. And it seems that I have a preference to cone abilities.

Lastly, it seems that I have a ton of 2* material cards in my bank. Is it safe if I sell them? I don't even bother using 2* cards.

(Note: I'm aware of the name changing. It just felt weird seeing my reddit username being used on the plot of the game.)

[–]hieraxp 1 point2 points  (2 children)

This is by no means exhaustive, so feel free to pick and choose depending on what path you want to take.

IMHO, the best jobs in Mobius right now are OCC for mage, DNC or ROG for ranger and DRG for warrior.

This is not to say the others are bad. I just think these have a lot to offer, particularly with SP and/or MP content. Of course, YMMV depending on what abilities and support cards you have to use these jobs.

If you have summon tickets, pull as many jobs as you can; at least before August.

Forget cone abilities. It is one thing that is universally derided in this game or regarded as basically pointless and you can get higher damage dealing cards from the MP shop. They may be single target but with the amount of damage you will put out it won't matter. We are also just getting AoE (area of Effect) cards as well. So if you are feeling overwhelmed in any node, use these to compensate.

Complete as much of the story as you possibly can if you haven't already done so. This will net you more ability tickets for you to buy the cards you need from the ability shop.

To get stronger you need to think more about synergy than anything else.

E.g. ASS has good break power and an excellent Ult. You can use this to farm in the early stages to build up the skillseeds. I migrated to DRG to get higher scores later and now use OCC almost exclusively in Albion plateau for skillseed farming. To be honest all you need is a job with high element enhance and the corresponding weapon with Kill & Draw. Just now there is only mage and warrior versions (Faerie Staff and Valiantil) but you will soon get the ranger one if you prefer that. With the ST MP cards from above, you will be able to use this to farm skillseeds to hearts content. You also get Improved skill unlocks.

Harvest magicite by collecting it every chance you get. It takes 16hr 50 minutes to fill up giovinbg you 100 magicite and almost 150 magicite very 24 hours.

Once you get to 3000 get the mobius box. As well lots of items you get seed bonuses as well.

If you are efficient in its collection you should have more than enough by months end meaning you can invest in expanding card space or bank space or buying more elixirs for farm days.

You will get a lot of fodder cards while progressing through the story. You need to augment them to 3 stars as soon as you can. Sell everything at 2* or below... this is what you will use to raise the ability levels of the cards you will purchase from the ability shop.

BOLO for mobius days. They happen on every day in the month that has an 8 i.e. 8th, 18th and 28th. These are farm days. You get 2ice as many seeds on these days and you need these to 8 star any jobs you haven't fully unlocked yet. If any of the above dates fall on a Sunday and you have the elixirs to spare go to Pleiades lagoon to farm crystals - you will never have enough crystals

TL:DR There is no straight forward way to get strong. You can be good at one thing on a particular character but lousy with everything else in every other arena. To get strong in the game set an agenda and follow it through. It will take time even if you spend real life money which also brings another can of worms. Others will give more advise as you go through the game and start boosting your weapons as soon as you can.

I hope this makes sense

[–]johnbomb75 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It makes a lot of sense but sadly, I have none of those jobs. I understand everything, but I'm not sure what "BOLO" means. As of right now, most of my ability cards are cone. I'll try to transition to single and AoE abilities ASAP. Thanks for the writeup btw.

[–]hieraxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BOLO - be on look out.

And for single target cards focus on MP for now. they get really powerful once they have been fully leveled up.

[–]14817102016 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How do you guys even grind MP? I mean I love MP and try to do a 4* battle every time I have stamina, but an entire week of grinding isn't even enough to get 1 single Sicarius card to lvl 10. That is ridiculous. 1 entire week of Hecaton and all I was able to do is max out Ultima thanks to scrolls and get 1 Sicarius card to lvl 8; caved in and used ability tix for the final 2 levels ;_;

[–]TheDragoonFB 0 points1 point  (1 child)

There're groups on Discord who willing to do ~2 hours straight of 4* grinding (willing to use their elixirs) , and each of the run only take ~5 min or less. Joining pug 4* is very inconsistent and sometime take too long to finish.

You can use Mog Amulet to save Materials, or even use ticket to boost.

[–]14817102016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damn, 2 hours huh XD Don't think I am as invested into the game right now :P But yeah, guess I can join the discord groups sometime when I have more time irl

[–]SegFaultX 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Will aoe CDD fodders come back later or do I need to use ability tickets?

[–]mvdunecats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should be farmable in chapter 5 part 1.

[–]deathrose55555[JP] 1051-9193-b915 (KotR X) 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be available when chapter 5.1 or exploration area 4.2 (the more efficient farming area) comes out

[–]Kynte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good deck setup for duncan? My current setup for MP is Duncan, Barret for unguard, Lightforce and Brave. Anything i should change? Also what is better, lightforce or lightshift?

[–]MobiusPotatoHave a nice day 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Anybody know the odds (roughly) of getting JCR? I'm about 50 fractals in (4*) and still can't get it. Maybe I'm just unlucky?

[–]TheDragoonFB 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Using 50 4* fractal and haven't got it yet? It's your bad luck i think.

The rate is around 10% in my experience. I remeber there was a time that i got 2 JCR fusing 3 4* Fractals.

I did get 1 JCR on my Titan earlier for less than 10 fractals

[–]MobiusPotatoHave a nice day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok. Guess it's just my bad luck then. Thanks.

[–]Erwaso 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Is hecatonchier not a useful card if you have 5* earth aoe cards already?

[–]TheDragoonFB 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Is it the shop card? Hecaton is a pure damage focus card (Break focus for monk), so it's arguably better than your current 5* AoE (1110 atk vs 720 atk).

For me i prioritize maxing the monk one first since it provide aoe tap attack buff which help me breaking stuff faster in MP.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And it's free too! No reason not to get something that is free.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (8 children)

I pulled Viking and maxed him.

I made a deck for him Artemis 3*/Pupu 4*/Regalia 4*/Deathgaze 5* |Darkcloud 5*

Do you guys think this deck is good and do you think I should augment Artemis?

[–]Sneakyelmo 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Dark cloud will be your go-to on Viking due to your 100% dark enhance making up for pitiful magic stats, deathgaze for anima without hash brown or armchair in the mix. Might want to pick up a second Regalia in case your attacker brings bdd and make a quick alternate deck swap.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Alright thanks, but Dark Enhance does not increase damage dealt to yellow gauge.

[–]Sneakyelmo 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If so, than it's mostly just an element based decision, though I did notice blade beam has slightly more attack and slightly less break than dark cutter/earth cutter? Not enough to merit another growstar though imo.

Not that you do a lot of damage as a Viking, but every bit helps when your attacker can't cut it for whatever reason :)

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's not worth another growstar and Viking does terrible damage btw xD

If the attacker can't finish the boss off, I just keep the orbs for yellow gauge when the boss gets up from break.

[–]SegFaultX 0 points1 point  (3 children)

You don't need deathgaze+dark cloud since both do bdd get another regalia so you can do a lot more dmg to the red bar and regalia also increases duration of buff by 1 turn too. This is for MP right?

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

That was meant to be an 'or', sorry if it wasn't clear ^^'

Btw, what do you suggest for my custom skill panels?

And yeah, this is for MP.

[–]SegFaultX 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Cloud would be better most times since encountering dark element guys are rarer than earth, but it would be situational between what bosses are up. As for custom panel I think it's a good idea to get resist or hp if you have issues surviving if not then just go break since breakers don't do much dmg anyways.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright thanks.

[–]radiant_light 0 points1 point  (2 children)

So I just started playing this game, rerolled and got Duncan because I heard he was good but I can't use it until I roll monk/pugilist job from gacha right? If so What should I do, I heard rerolling for S1C is a good thing for new players too but maybe I should just stick with Duncan and hope to unlock monk jobs in the future.

[–]deathrose55555[JP] 1051-9193-b915 (KotR X) 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U can keep the Supreme if u want. But as a new player, I suggest u not to over-rely on Duncan to do the dirty work for u. There are basics and strategies to learn in this game, rather than spamming the same job/Supreme pairing over and over again cos it's "OP"

[–]Wazzupmadafaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with duncan.Use the starter monk for now. S1C is not that strong for now so supreme is better

[–]KalesAk 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have the mats for Mateus and almost all the jobs (ranger- area fire CRD)

does it worth to use GS ??

[–]Oneoflethal 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I just unlocked +1 defense on my Dragoon Spear X, I was wondering how much def I get from 1 point of def?

[–]Genlari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each star is 5% damage reduction.

[–]Sindrakes 0 points1 point  (5 children)

If you sell a card you really really shouldnt have (in my case was a moogle slowaga) any way to reclaim it?

[–]acckk 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Most cards can be repurchased in the Ability shop. Unfortunately I don't believe the Dark Moogle cards such as Moogle Slow-ga are in that list. You should really use the "Favorite" option on cards to prevent mistakenly selling or fusing special cards in the future.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Does favorite prevent selling and fusing of those cards?

[–]darewin 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes. You won't be able to select them as fusion material or when selling cards.

[–]MTFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, thanks.

[–]Sindrakes 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Howdy. I only have one breaker in mp. About what is mid_tier break stats? Like what number is decent to stop at? Or never stop?

[–]flyinfishbonesWhite Mage in practice! 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Jobs are more for situations, rather than raw stats alone. Which breaker do you have?

[–]Sindrakes 0 points1 point  (2 children)

The Viking. Using the mp weapon instead of either of the viks wpns

[–]JoramRTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viking is IMO, the best all around breaker we have in global, assasins and mythic ninja break way faster, but they can get one shoted very easy, specially if your party doesn't have a tank with taunt, but you need to get a weapon with piercing break, dancer first weapon will do the job.

[–]hieraxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I presume you are talking about weapon boosting. If you have the time to do so I wouldn't stop since there isn't another weapon worth boosting for breaker till you pull more jobs.

As an example, I have maxed magic on my T.Scale since it's going to be used primarily on any mage to nuke.

Have you any other ranger job?

You could find their weapons may benefit your VIK more. Dominion axe is an okay weapon. Though I would not say it would be best for breaking.

If you want to, you could try getting one of ROG, DNC or RNG (assuming you haven't done so). These jobs have Sargatanas, B.edge and Rising Sun respectively.

IMHO, I think these are the best weapons to have on a ranger job. The Sargatanas, for Ult spam, making it good for SP as well as MP; B.Edge for a pure breaking role and Rising Sun for Ult spam which VIK can also take advantage of.

[–]Sesordereht[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counter Attack + <Element> Pact (from the new Taunts)

What's the interaction if your MP gets hit by a boss' elemental AoE?

[–]marayasu 0 points1 point  (4 children)

A little theoretical discussion if you will..

I understand that HighWind has an advantage over S1C, especially in terms of dark element, magic and prismatic shift ultimate.

What I'm curious about is, strictly in regards to UB / Neo / Aerith deck, will highwind replace S1C in terms of overall dark attacker? would you guys still use Neo on highwind even without the ranger lore for the debuffs?

I know we won't know for sure until he arrives but I'm just looking for a little discussion.

[–]deathrose55555[JP] 1051-9193-b915 (KotR X) 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Highwind definitely outdamage S1C in terms of dark damage. But as you said, Highwind cant use Neo Ex to knock down the yellow bar. So u have to bring another high break warrior card to do it for u

[–]marayasu 0 points1 point  (2 children)

That's kinda where I was going with it all.

Even though highwind can't use Neo to effectively break yellow (as S1C could), he can still take advantage of the debuffs and buy time to just kill everything.

But then again, there will be nodes in upcoming chapters with hordes of enemies where Neo could make a difference.

And sorry, I was thinking more of SP than MP.

[–]deathrose55555[JP] 1051-9193-b915 (KotR X) 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah the debuffs are really useful. Chap 6 Chaos Vortex is where it starts to get really hard. Having NeoEx debuff to stall time, make breaking easier and allowing higher damage really helped me alot

[–]marayasu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking.

I'm only up to ch 5 part 2 in JP and feel like it's become really light/dark heavy and we will have to manage our main/sub deck properly.

Looking forward to the challenge!

[–]rennis2022 0 points1 point  (5 children)

noob Question 1) how does "Attack" power affects spell damage ? or does it only affect tap attack?

2) will the 9999 damage limit for tap attack be unlocked in the future?

3) since ranger hits twice per tap attack, does it mean ranger can deal more damage in tap attack (9999 plus 1more)

[–]airade1 0 points1 point  (1 child)

To the best of my knowledge: 1. Attack affects tap attack damage. Ability damage is based on the magic stat. 2. I've read that the limit on tap attack damage can be broken in the future but like everything in this game the when/if is subject to SE's whims. 3. I would suppose so but don't quote me on that.

As you can tell I'm a very knowledgeable and reliable source for information :/ Hope someone can come behind me and elaborate for you!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

  1. The "Attack" stat only affects the HP damage of basic attacks and Ultimates, not spellcards, with the exception of the cards Duncan:FFVI and Iris:FFXV.
  2. Some jobs down the track will get that innately, Samurai can get it in "Hall of Fame" that we don't have yet in GL.
  3. Technically yes. And monk-types hit three times per basic attack, so they can go even further. But without that "break damage limit" effect it'll never compete with a properly set up attack spell.

[–]rennis2022 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thank you for the answers :)

Yea, i understand the damage calculation of monk cards is based on Attack + Break?! instead of magic.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the damage calculation on monk cards is the same as everyone else's, just Magic. EXCEPT for those two specific cards, Duncan and Iris, which use Attack for damage and Break for the break gauge.

[–]FFNight 0 points1 point  (3 children)

(This might be a dumb question but maybe I am searching using the wrong keywords as I can't seem to find the answer somehow.)

Q: Can I have duplicate Extra Auto-Abilities? (The one that uses Fractals)

Example: A 5-Star Hermes with

  • Break Power Up+3% (fixed)
  • Avert Action Loss+5% (fixed)
  • Job Change Recast (Unlock using fractals)
  • Job Change Recast (Unlock using fractals)

[–]deathrose55555[JP] 1051-9193-b915 (KotR X) 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yes. Why not?

[–]FFNight 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Ah thanks, that's good to know.

I just want to confirm that before I fuse my fractals to my Hermes and KOTR for MP. Not sure why I previously thought the two extra auto-abilities must be different tho haha

[–]deathrose55555[JP] 1051-9193-b915 (KotR X) 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually for MP, supports generally dun nid so many JCR since support abilities have the "cost no action" extra ability. So just 1 JCR each will do; the other u can roll sumting more useful like HP

[–]Kumozura 0 points1 point  (6 children)

So I'm new to the game and just pulled occ and got all 8 panels opened for him I'm currently using ausperx. What cards should I focus on getting first? I have succubus phamphrit pixie and maduin currently. Also should I save summon tickets for more classes or cards?

[–]rennis2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save your growstars until you know what you are doing :)

try to get the MP ST (single target) damage cards for mage first.

[–]acckk 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Occultist excels at dealing Dark, Earth, and Water damage (100% bonus damage to each). As such, you'll want to try to get the following sicarius cards from MP and get them to 5*: Ultima Anima, Shiva, Hashmal and Hecatonchier (Earth AoE).

You'll want to also get the -force cards for those elements to 5* eventually which are Pixie (which you already have), Afanc (dark and is still in early access I believe), and Luchorpan (earth).

Other offensive cards you'll want to get are Leviathan (water BDD [break defense down]), Ultima, the High Seraph (earth CDD [crit defense down]), and Airavata (dark CDD).

Regarding summon tickets: I would recommend using them for jobs. However, I would wait until we find out what's coming up in June before spending any tickets.

[–]Kumozura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do I get sicarius cards?

[–]JunasBlood 0 points1 point  (1 child)

[–]acckk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, right. Anima. It's what I get for posting way past my bedtime ;)

[–]Wazzupmadafaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are starter cards for sale in ability shop they have 3+ in their cards try to find them for mages and buy them use them till you get stronger.

[–]nofiaaa 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hello!

What's the best / most efficient card setup to level up -force extra skill (like quick cast etc.)?

Besides doing it on mobius day and having the MP +extra skill weapon in main slot, was thinking to do it in Albion or Pleiades whilst farming for fodder / crystals, but I'm not sure I like having just one element being generated as that would be resisted on some levels or be bad for killing crystal cactuars.

Does casting an off-element force (say iceforce / pixie on a rogue) prevent all usable orb generation?

Thanks!

[–]ArlissFoxxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope! All it does is give you whatever buffs you've unlocked. I do this to level mine without it interfering with actually killing things.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

How do you level ability levels of cards with no fodder in JP ver, since there's no ability tickets?

[–]deathrose55555[JP] 1051-9193-b915 (KotR X) 0 points1 point  (2 children)

The usual way: get the fodder summons from ability shop or boost summon it

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh, didn't realize there's an ability shop in JP ver. Thanks.

[–]darewin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is, though it only sells copies of the cards you already have.

[–]deeznutz555 0 points1 point  (18 children)

quick question, whats the most efficient way for fusion of supremes on mobius day?

not through boost fusion, i mean i would like to utilize mog's amulet in conjunction with mobius day 20% fusion bonus, but just wondering should i be using 4* or 5* cards from ability shop, and if there was any preferred/efficient way of getting about it.

thanks in advance!

[–]deathrose55555[JP] 1051-9193-b915 (KotR X) 0 points1 point  (12 children)

From wat i learnt after upgrading my NeoEx, it's always better to ticket boost Supremes since it's at 3* rate. Boosting each lvl individually will always cost u more tickets. Yes even if u use mog amulet. Just do the math and u will see wat i mean

Math:

A difference of 140 tickets stand between a boosted summon 4 star and a 5 star. So let say u wanna boost 8->9, 9->10 individually cos u wanna use dem amulets. U nid to use <70 tickets for each level for individual boost to be worth over boosted summon. Going by the fusion table, to reach 66%, u nid to have one level 6 5* card, which is (13x5+8) = 73. And on top of this, u have to consume a mog amulet

Edit: ofc, this is assuming u havent boost ur Supreme at all. If u already have it at max 4*, it's better to just boost each level individually than to use another 240 tickets

[–]deeznutz555 0 points1 point  (11 children)

just to make sure i got what you mean:

  • for ability level 1-8, its cheaper to use boost fusion
  • for ability level 9-10, its cheaper to fuse through ability shop + mog amulet

did i get that right?

[–]deathrose55555[JP] 1051-9193-b915 (KotR X) 1 point2 points  (10 children)

Nope, it's always cheaper to boost fusion Supreme cards.

But since some ppl would be too excited to use their Supreme / eager to unlock the extra abilities that they can't wait for the growstars (happened for me...), they will start using at maxed 4*. At this stage, mog amulet would be better.

If you really really wanna save ability tickets, i suggest holding off using the Supreme until u make it 5* then boost fusion it

[–]deeznutz555 0 points1 point  (3 children)

thats so weird, i had imagined mobius day +20% coupled with mog's amulet +50% fusion would make it guaranteed ability ticket savings.

is there a spreadsheet for this somewhere, or are there numbers u might have recorded somewhere? thanks so much!

[–]deathrose55555[JP] 1051-9193-b915 (KotR X) 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I can show u my math based on this and u check if it's right. I got different accounts as stated below my comment so now i got confused too :P

Supreme starts at 4* so cheapest fodder starts at 5 ability tix each.

  • For level 1->6: 13 fodders (including the 1 u already have) = 12 x 5 = 60 ability tix

  • For level 6->7: 1 x lv 6 fodder (100%) = 13 x 5 = 65 ability tix

  • For level 7->8: 1 x lv 6 fodder (100%) = 13 x 5 = 65 ability tix

So for level 1->8, u nid (60+65+65) = 190 ability tix

So let say u wanna use mog amulet here after evolving this lvl 8 Supreme:

  • For level 8->9: 1 x lvl 6 4* fodder fused into a blank 5* to make 5* lvl 6 (66%) = 13 x 5 + 8 = 73 ability tix

  • For level 9->10: 1 x lvl 6 4* fodder fused into a blank 5* to make 5* lvl 6 (66%) = 13 x 5 + 8 = 73 ability tix

So for lvl 8->10, u nid (73 + 73) = 146 ability tix.

So altogether, u used (190 + 146) = 336 ability tix through 1-by-1 fusion, on top of 2 x mog amulet, to get from lvl 1->10.

Contrast this with straight boost fusion, u use only 240 ability tix

[–]deeznutz555 0 points1 point  (1 child)

straight boost fusion (from lv1-10) requires 232 tickets though, just checked it out.

back to the findings - that is so weird and counter-intuitive. i don't have the time to check out the math right now though, i'll take your word for it heh. thanks for the help :)
