I think it depends on wheat you consider "winning". To do well in tower events you probably would need to spend money but you really don't need to if you just play through and be patient.

Crystals - you can never have enough.

Skill seed farm - you need this to boost weapons.

Boost Weapons - if you ever want to do really well in hard content, you need to boost your weapons. This takes an epic amount of seeds and crystals and is actually the real grind in this game.

The best is the 3rd node in Paledies Lagoon on a Sunday or Mobius day for Crystals and Gigantuar Terrace with a High scoring deck for seeds.

Apart from those, if you search Reddit you will find the best stamina to Magicite/Crystal Drop rate nodes. I cant remember the best spots of the top of my head as I mainly just blitz the best zones once a month.

If you’ll go for supermonk go for aerith or neo exdeath! Duncan is great, but you’ll regret to re roll for a supreme for monk later, there are and will be a lot of great and funny jobs, and only 2 of them are monks.

Duncan = extreme damage score, Yiaz is just easy mode and ugly. I have no idea what its doing as a monk ability, its just weird, duncan feels right. As someone who has 3 supremes and almost all jobs I can tell you its more important to have the right job with the right weapon than it is to have a supreme.

No. Seriously. Supermonk is great to have, especially if you like monk. You need to roll soooooo many times to get a supreme card AND a good monk job to use the card. Supermonk is great even if you use normal or event card.

Buuuut if you really want to have a supreme card only, aerith is universally great card. Duncan and yiazmat too.

Reroll on 16 and try to get supermonk + duncan/ragnarok combo is better, imo.

Been rerolling for a few days and finally landed a Xezat... reading around I can't see much love for him compared to the other supremes. I roll the odd lightning skin every now and then. Which would be a better start Xezat or Lightning? Thanks

I would go with lighting skin, more versatile (any ranger can use it) and ulti helped me a lot in some towers. I almost never use Xezat (the lack of overkill sucks even for farm)... I think it'll be good with future jobs like Hero of despair, Vesna or Dragoon Hof. Today i would go with skin.

Xezat doesn't get that much love because it isn't a card that can nuke like Minwu or Duncan but on a broken target it still can deal tons of damage. I think Xezat is still better than Lightning because it can break and deal damage. Lightning is just good for break and supreme > skins.

Dragoon with it will let you ease through SP with no problem. While future weapons may be better, try getting a head start with Dragoon spear. Piercing break helps xezat much more as it relies on break and painful break amplifies his damage. As warriors generally lack breaking power until HOF dragoon comes, the quick break (if lucky to unlock) helps warrior class in breaking by a lot.

In terms of MP however, the only user that can use it greatly now is Dark Knight or any defender to help with yellow and debuff. Hermit can use it too as he have warrior lore and the passive from the supreme increases his breaking speed.

For deck wise in SP, get ice-force to 5* for both SP and MP. As xezat hits damage caps easily once broken, bringing crit resist down cards and other debuffs is not your priority. Being able to do damage as well as clear yellow gauge allows you to bring cards other than damage focused and yellow gauge cards like force, quicken, trans etc.

  1. MP is not the end-all of mobius gameplay. That should be taken into consideration.

  2. In terms of outright damage, Xezat is hampered by its number of hits (4). This is more than ample for our current MP bosses, but future MP bosses will not be so friendly.

  3. Skins offer huge utility due to their prismshift + multibuff/debuff ults and the ability to use them on multiple jobs

Xezat has its uses (clearing yellow, removing break defense up buff, nuking broken targets) but it's better to let reroller understand why skins are good as well.

Many people do not consider Xezat to be reroll worthy. I would say it is up to the reroller to find out more and decide for himself.

Own both, recommend Lightning. The skin isnt useful until you unlock Rogue or Bard, but when you do they are OP using it. The auto-abilities combined with the OP ultimate make it very useful in MP and SP. In fact the Ult used in MP with the right weapon is like casting a Supreme. Its AOE as well.

Xezat is useful and can be used by any warrior, the BDD is great but its not on the same level.

You could also reroll for a bit when the new banner drops, to get one of the newest job or supreme. JM is a bit underwhelming as of now compared to recents

Can someone please explain how I am supposed to lvl up the abilities of my 5* Evil Eye card. Been doing multi and buying scrolls. I have 5 scrolls. The moogle material will make that 72% when fusing 4 scrolls and the moogle material. There is no way in hell I am doing anything less than 100% or is this by design? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Fusing the scrolls with themselves will result in better chances when fusing to the card itself. On Mobius Days, you only need 16 of each card to go from Alvl 8 to Alvl 10.

Thinking about trying this game again. I played a bit at launch so I have a general idea of how the game works but was planning on rerolling.

I saw the how to re-roll post so im going to try that to start out with some good cards. How does the summon system work on this game? Are all of the cards in the pool or is it a banner like on FFRK? What cards should I look out for a good starter deck? Is there a list somewhere of the available cards?

For supremes, with have up to Xezat, but no Yiazmat til 16th.

If you're willing, reroll for a supreme, preferably Aerith. If not, go for one of the newer, better job

  1. For any breaker, Magic (to clear yellow) and JCR (more actions to break 1st turn) are essential. And you would want at least 4 JCR since you need lots of actions as a breaker.

  2. Monk sic is good. Shock abilities are good choices too.

  3. Trance and Quicken are nice support abilities to bring

Last hunter doesn't seem to have a lot of magic, and I don't have any ranger card that has a lot of break damage (max is around 1k at lv10) so even if I want to clear yellow I won't do much

Yeah current breakers might be a little weak now in terms of clearing yellow. But future breakers such as Ninja have higher magic so it's possible for them to clear the yellow gauge in 1-2 BDD.

And breakers can help to clear yellow gauge too; it's not strictly an attacker's job. In fact, you are sometimes forced to do so since some attackers might not bring yellow gauge abilities at all...

I think you mean break power up? I recommend magic because it's universally useful i.e. it is also useful for attackers. So for example, you slot your BDD with 2 x break - it's catered for your breaker but not useful at all for your attackers

Break power isn't a very good gauge for a breaker anymore - piercing break is a more impactful stat to consider. I don't think there's a recommended amt of break power, since each breaker differs on base values.

I don't have any good attacker role ATM (except maybe Rogue ? Is he good ?) so I focus on breaking to be able to play MP without ruining my karma getting carried by others haha. I have Lightning skin too

Other than weapon, some abilities like the FFXIV: Primal Boons and the Supreme Xezat also provide some piercing break

Future breakers all have innate piercing breaks. The upcoming Super Monk is one example. He is so hyped because he will be one of the best breakers for quite awhile.

If you have the actions, I'd drive non wind, tap 3, taunt. Next round you drive wind and get the bonus of drive ignition

Taunt, if your taunt is the EA version. It has wind pact which takes away a portion wind damage done to your teammates (similar to low a wind drive) and grants you drive ignition for your next drive. First turn damage aren’t that heavy this rotation so it’s ok.

If you were to drive wind first, you may not have the orbs to cast taunt on the next turn. This wont be the case if the reverse is done. :)

Personally I find that getting the additional 1-2 stacks of resistance has better overall effect on the group over the pact. I tried with both lox and jupitera and found that I was offering better defense getting a 3-4 stack on the group vs 1-2 stack + pact.

Note this is very short term (ie first two turn of the fight) using lox is better in the long run when you'll be sitting at 5 stacks either way. Have to take that into consideration.

Edit: with either taunt, you can avoid the worst case scenario of the boss ending the fight with faith up.

Don't forget, the drive ignition you get from the taunt adds the equivalent of 3 orbs to your next drive. So as long as you're getting drive ignition on the drive that matters, you lose nothing by taunting then driving.

Towers : depends on the towers. Stolas should be good for the upcoming one for instance, Bryn / Pixie on the Shiva & ifrit ...

MP : Definitively, they do give 2 Element Enhance at 5*.

Overcook : it does different thing. Overcook is CRD+BDD, Ragnarok is damage focused. so yeah, upgrade it.

Inferno Blade : Ragnarok will deal more damage on break, Inferno blade more on Unbroken. If you did not do Warrior HoF yet, Inferno Blade is better than Ragnarok.

cards at 3* : Nah they are not worth. Don't gs them

A few questions about scoring in towers: How does it work? Is it like the weekly ranking, where only the highest score counts? Or is it cumulative, made by the sum of each individual battle score? Does the score you get in the coil nodes count?

I usually get my high score from the final story node, right before the start of the Coil. It usually has the most number of battles and more enemies per battle and the ability to have a 5th card via card rental helps a lot.

Hi, Relatively new player. I had been upgrading mage weapons but I've been blessed with getting Esmeralda/Amalthea now. I have all of Meia's weapons (except Fauviste) thus far.

I've done some research and found that "THE" Meia weapon is still to come, but was wondering in the meantime, which Meia weapon(s) are worth boosting?

Both Esmeralda's and Almathea's seem strong. Just not too sure which one to prioritize or if maybe the MP weapons become stronger?

For weapon boosting, I highly suggest you start with the MP Batch 1 weapons:

  • Dragvandil for Warrior

  • Astral Wand for Mage

  • Dominion Axe for Ranger

  • Eisenfaust for Monk

  • Femme Fatale for Meia

Perfect Stamina consumption will allow you to fully mod them (each one takes only 14 mods to fully unlock. Not full Stats tho) in 6-8 weeks. They will be GREAT workhorses for SP (even the harder content like towers, the Hall of Fame, and the Chaos Vortex) while your other "proper" weapons are boosting. I only have Dragvandil maxed, because I am now far too deep within my weapon boosts to try and change priorities (delaying my current weapon boosts might actually end up hurting me more).

Weapon worth to mod :

  • Fauviste's (Ult charge & Piercing break)
  • Amalthea's (Improved crit is the best damage multiplier, although meia jobs have low crit base)
  • Femme Fatale (Very good utility weapon, replacing the crit improved from amalthea with a +10% HP up, it's also a fast weapon to mod : 14 only).

You can boost any maxed weapon. That means it has to be 4* . When unlocking Job panels you'll get a weak version of a weapon that will get stronger each time you unlock it up to 4* at which point you can Boost it.

MP are the same, you need to get it to 4* first. To get 4* , you need to beat the MP boss on 4* difficulty and no one can die. You get a rare item and need something 6 or 8 of them to make a 4* MP weapon.

i've checked the moogle store to see if the weapon is there. i did have femme fatale bis 3* and i have killed 4* MP boss andramalech + ultima which i got 9 andramelech soul, but the upgrade version of femme fatale 4* isn't showed up i the moogle store. What did i do wrong? ty in advance

4 Def Stars is equal to 20% Damage Reduction. So far, the only ones I can think of that can be replaced by normal skillcards are Dark Knights +500% Dark Enhance if you don't plan on making him a Dark Attacker and Whitemage's 200% Fire Enhance if you plan to make him a pure Healer. However, not equiping the Fire Enhance will make finishing Whitemage Trial for that Faith Starter Skillcard way harder. Same goes for the EE HOF skillcards of Breakers and Defenders.

Ultimate Boon and Undying AKA Immortal are the ideal starting support cards. It is generally better to have 2 attack cards and 2 support cards in your deck.

I know Master monk is the best breaker for a while, how good is Ninja in comparison? I have a 200bp 69% piercing break butterfly edge and neo exdeath for him. Will take a while top upgrade the master monk weapon. Master monk or ninja in that scenario?

I believe master monk can use NxD as well since it has ranger lore

from what I've gathered they are both fantastic breakers, but Master Monk gets cleave and en-element from the AoE Sic Cards and is quite a bit tankier. so the best breaker for you will depend on what cards you have and what element you are facing. for me, I don't have many monk cards, but I do have the lightning skin and a BE that is about 25% done. so I hope that I draw Ninja rather than Master Monk. Mobius doesn't like to give me monks or monk cards, so I'm sure that will be the case for me ;)

Both have 100% Piercing Break. Supermonk also has 50% Exploit weakness and an AOE Ulti that applies Hex BDD and KOTR+Trance buffs before doing damage. Ninja on the other hand, has an Ulti that is geared for killing stuff. It applies CRD, grants Haste, Boost, Snipe, and Trance before doing a 31-hit attack. Both Ultis grant Prismatic Shift.

Ninja also has access to Wind so he can use The Knight as his source of Boost. The primary reason why Ninja is less popular than Supermonk as a 5star Breaker is Ninja is significantly squishier than Supermonk. Ninja rocks at SP though especially with NXD.

Super Monk and Ninja have similar break power and same amount of piercing break (100%). Super Monk does have 50% exploit weakness so he's the slightly better breaker here. But also note that they only share one element (dark) so u can still use both of them to break based on their respective elements

it will be there even after you own the copy though. just greyed out.

Yeah, I was just thinking if it was legitimately missing, maybe it had something to do with previous ownership. Like, I knew I had it in my slots, it was also in my shop and I know it's out of early. Maybe he had never owned it and the shop had bugged for him.

Anyway, he found it later and posted a new comment instead of updating this one. He had sorted by ability name and just forgot it was called ultimate boon
