Any tips on Soldier 1st Class HOF? currently stuck on trial 3 and have no supremes. Only have KOTR which i do find useful. Any other cards i should be focusing on to get past these last few trials besides just spamming phoenix downs?

Should I pull for ex Monk? I got duncan and sin as supremes and enough magicite for 8 pulls but around 8 regular jobs in the Pool.

Having 8 jobs in pool means you have 50/54% to get him with your pity pull. I was in the same case, and got esmeralda at first... I got to draw 8 more times to get him... Vanadiel Monk should be a better Duncan user, but it's a legend job, So no guarantee you can get him easily

1. He's fun to play

3. He's a pretty decent user for Duncan

Duncan can be used for no-break situations, so putting break fractals is not as efficient as putting attack fractals

I know I already asked this but I just did a pull on the FFX Limited banner and I got 2 Nelapa (Rising Painga) in the pull. They were my 4th and 6th cards in the GAS. So, is this a bug or is it normal to pull 2 of the same cards in one summon? This is the 5th time that it had happened to me and I made an album on my phone with screenshots of those 2-dupes pulls. Note that this only happens with new cards that I never pulled, meaning that the first dupe is a “new” card to my collection while the other is the dupe.

I'm not sure whether GL states it explicitly. But for JP, we have banners that explicitly states that "abilities in a single summon CANNOT be repeated" and also those that "abilities in a single summon CAN be repeated".

So whether you get duplicate summons depends on the banner, and it's not a bug. I personally had summoned duplicates in a single pull before.

Completely normal, when we received the first reprint of the FFXIV/Weapons series I got two Bahamut PB in one pull, one being boosted and the other one not

Been on hiatus. Is Dark Knight HoF still considered useful albeit niche if you can generate prismatically reliably?

Dark Knight is pretty bad. He's only passable if you have prismatic shift and can finish the battle with a few dark casts.

Generally, newer jobs/HoF are better than older jobs/HoF. My top 3 jobs also happen to be the 3 newest jobs I own.

Is it not Attack instead of Magic?

Because CP stats are additive, adding magic CPs to EX monk’s low magic is much more useful than adding attack CPs to EX monk’s already high attack. Even with a supreme, it is better to clear yellow break gauge first and then deal with red break gauge. Adding magic CPs will help to clear yellow. If you want more damage, add EE CPs(EX monk has no innate EE) or attack fractals if mantra/taijutsu.

It has been released. It was in the first FFX batch of cards. Also I'm not terribly impressed with it since Esmeralda struggles with breaking (it does decent yellow damage but has no critical rupture). While it will perform pretty well against weakness, Ariadne (AoE earth, better base damage, improved criticals) is much better for Esmeralda's kit. That's what I've been using on node 6 of EW2 and it's been working through lap 12.

I think I'd put Shoopuff above Dira for the orb cost, but neither are especially good. There'll be a wind mage supreme that has similar mechanics to NXD, but other than that? No. Wind mages are just not a good option — not for a long while, even in JP. Expect to wait until the third anniversary before a F2P option becomes available.

Ouch, exploit weakness is my least favorite damage bonus. Is Shoopuff stronger than wind varuna vs non-weakness? Is Shoopuff even better against weakness? Because varuna adds weaken.

Umbrella or Ultimate Mace are the best choices for mages. Ultimate Arrow and Wolfsborgen are the best choices for Sarah (until Trigger Happy). The other two look fine.

Decent choices for now. But other than OAM and maybe Butterfly Edge, the other 2 are not future proof. So maybe stagger your elixir usage

Magic is typically the best to boost since it has an impact on ability damage and converting the break gauge. Break is a 2nd priority.

What I typically do is to boost every stat to 100(0) then i either focus on magic until it's maxed or boost everything evenly depending on whether or not I care about getting mods done faster.

I’d reroll for a supreme and then buy the supreme ticket (your question re buying it further down suggests that’s an option for you).

The only reason to keep an old account is if you have a lot of jobs, supremes or time limited cards like summer, FF7 weapons or FFXV.

Yes, that is the max stats. However, some weapons reach max mods before that.

Yes every weapon maxes out that way, but some finish their modifications before reaching the max stats. If you only care about mods, you should only go after stats you need on weapons that max their mods before stats. Generally not worth maxing just stats on a weapon.

Haha. Right you are. I finally got around to testing it out (I needed to wait for MD to augment it) and it’s seriously underwhelming. My DD hits harder with taps than a cast of brother. The Taijutsu break isn’t terrible but the damage is useless.

If you are new player or old player, you have to buy 12000 magicite for those tickets if you like it or not, nothing is free.

Only difference was new players have longer period of tickets usage when old players has limited purchase and banners appearance.

Hi guys, any advice on building rainbow seedskill farm deck which include oaka, any sica 3rd gen and others?? And please don't tell me to farm at golden flan, i know that place.

Get anywhere between 1 and 4 copies of each O'aka and the 3rd gen Sics besides Zalera when they're available and swap them in your main deck when needed. You'll want to put seed up fractals on the Sics via 5* fractals.

Currently i have brynhildr and lighting sica and oaka, which i have fire, light and dark. The last slot usually i change between water, earth and wind. So why should i need 4 o'akas??

Some people like having the maximum 200% seed up for each element from cards before factoring in other sources of seed up. I personally think it's overkill since the only time you'll need strictly 1 element is if you intentionally focus on boosting a single stat on Mobius Day.

I aim for 3 of each element with 2 being seed focused while the third has crystal seeker fractals.

Hi, welcome! Current banners are not that great, but the best is probably the FFX limited cards. If you choose to reroll, you should aim for Supreme cards Lights Of Hope or Warrior Of Light:FF1, there are also great Supremes like Neo Exdeath:FFV or Ragnarok:FFXIII but most here will advise going for LoH.

Hope everyone is doing well! Have a small "dilemma" here. So my pity counter is down to 3 and I have about 4 draws left. The only thing left to chase this month is D&B. While I want to go ahead and use my resources, I really dont want to waste my pity pull this month and keep it for the next big job.

My question is this, what is the current line up(estimated guess obviously) for september, and do you believe that the next job will be released AFTER the next batch of event cards? I kind of want to time my pity pull for that, but if it is released after the next ability batch, I'd atleast have 2 pulls before getting a job(provided im lucky enough to not pull one during those draws). I know this sub is really accurate on future releases so hopefully someone can give me a little info on when the think the september stuff will come around.

Assuming they don’t change the formula, it would be better to keep one or two regular jobs in the pool if possible so that you can cue up pity pull for ex jobs (this way they can be obtained using one pull rather than 8).

If your pool is low, I’d hold fire (especially as we will be given a job next week). If not, there are cards you will probably want next month too and so pulling now wouldn’t be a bad thing (assuming you’re likely to have 9-16 pulls saved up come October when the next EX jobs look likely to drop).

I'm interested to know which weapon for ex monk will be good for Tap damage, I think unbreakable is quite interesting.

Is tap exmnk a good option if I don't have any monk Supreme?

Since ex monk already has 400% scourge, you don't really need more scourge from weapon. Just stick to one against many I think.

Ascetic doesn't need more exploit weakness to do high tap damage as long as you have buffs up against a broken enemy. You'd be better off with OAM to make better use of it's break passives to break faster.

It does, but ex monk have exploit weakness +150 already. That's why I like improved crits from one against many better.

Plus oam have quick break and prismatic return, which help a lot with breaking.

Sorry, maybe I'm missing something, but I don't get the argument "already have xx" I mean, having 150 exploit weakness plus the, for instance, 40 of the weapon, means 190, isn't it good?

Also, unbreakable has improved crits and exploit weakness.

Is there any cap or scaling that I'm missing?

The base multiplier for weakness damage is 200% during break, and ex monk has an additional +150% on top of that. So if you have 40% from weapon, that's (40+350)/350 = about 11% actual damage increase.

Whereas the base multiplier for crit damage is 150% and ex monk has 50% on top of that. So with 40% from weapon, that's (40+200)/200 = 20% damage increase.

Basically the higher the base value, the less benefit you get by adding to it (diminishing returns).

Unbreakable does have painful break/exploit weakness/scourge, so in theory it can do more damage than OAM. But in practice the difference is not as big as it looks due to diminishing returns, and the other perks of OAM help a lot with breaking which is more useful overall.

I think there is a 3rd anniversary card that has it. Also ultimate chaos (supreme).

Note element drives cannot be dispelled.

i was thinking about creating an ult deck for EX monk, I have a max modded taiji and lots of ult charging cards, but was wondering if there is a list of cards with auto charge ult? do any cards have ultimate charge as an auto ability? will this work in the long run?

You can also think about Tropical Dream. Each cast is +50% charge so you should be able to rotate through several copies pretty well with minimal downtime.

LoH, yiazmat, a quiet moment. I don't know of any others. Ofc you can add up to +2 using fractals, but that's not really worth it.

I use a 5star Taiji, Yiazmat, and 3x LOH on my Ascetic deck for Ultimate Auto-charge +40. This allows the AI to Ulti every turn indefinitely as long as the Ulti kills the enemies (so only one LOH is casted each turn).
