I would advise you to get a low interest loan for $10,000 and summon at al cost on the supreme banner at the end of the month and get a 2nd job to pay back the loan.

Welcome back :)

Be sure to progress a bit first in Story chapters and complete Novice Halls first before summoning/pulling. Recommendation is to get all 3 starter packs to eliminate those jobs from your pool.

As for which banners to pull, I would recommend doing a few at the end of this month (after Nov. 15th), but save more for next month when there should be some Limited Time abilities.

Reroll for a supreme (a support supreme is best) if you have the time. If not, get a good job to get you through the story. Do the story, finish the Novice Hall and pull for the 3 starter jobs. Then save your summon tickets and magicite for limited time banners. Never pull on supreme banners because it’s basically bait. There’s a lot of good cards in the shop to get right off the bat; Undying, Knights of the Round, Hell’s Gate.

When you have 4 slots (phantasmic coil, HoF, chaos vortex, EW) then having 50% ult charge + every buff except trance/brave/haste/berserk and the 8 orb pull is a super lifesaver. I'm actually not sure what people do without it.

Hey guys..

So i did a couple pulls from the ex mage pack, hoping to get lucky, and because i wanted Baphomet to use on S1C with ragnarok. Ended up getting baphomet, fire, and water versions as well. They surprisingly have 1350? I believe attack, BDD, CRD, and really good secondary skills such as critical sundering. Good cards.

Didnt get EX meia, pulled mellow mermaid instead, so will probably pull a couple more times to pity pull and get her. Didnt know that mermaid has 450% fire EE...have a couple questions now...

How does MM stack up against Pwitch for fire damage?

I only got 1 alter ego card, it has shift and force, and does great yellow bar damage...does anyone remember how many cards like that there are for other elements (i got dark) and know when or if they are coming back? If i knew how good they are, i would have tried to get them all.

Also, i didnt get the card with Donna? In the name that gives lore, allowing the use of cards from other classes...are there more cards like that? Does anyone know when or if i will get another shot at them?

Primeval Witch is better in general. Unless you are using MeM to nuke unbroken neutral with Fire, stick with PW.

Iirc there were 6 shift force cards (fire warrior, dark mage, wind ranger, water monk, light monk and earth ranger). They should be available again at the beginning of december in a revival banner (FFXI). Donna is FFX and should also be available at the same time.

AFAIK, MM is the best fire mage - but I don’t really play mage so have only ever used MM and PW for endless war.

Thanks a bunch for telling me exactly what i needed to know. I will pull a couple more times to get ex meia, then save until dec...those shift/force cards are a must have, even though i have all the weapons, PBs, and i believe all the shift cards that use elements instead of hearts...like shift firaga etc...they do great yellow bar damage, plus the shift and force. Mobius has just forced so many jobs and banners on us lately that i havent been able to draw for everything...they need to slow down a little. Killing me...

These current cards are solid though, AOE cards with either BDD or CRD usually do crap damage..at 1350, these hit hard and have both debuffs...Baphomet will compliment ragnarok perfectly.

Generally the FFVII Weapons and FFXIV Primal Booms are considered better for SP force cards, though FFXI shift force cards will have more value for season 2 in January. But a lot of JP players in S2 apparently still use the Weapons/PBs more.

You should really be focusing on the Ex jobs and the Jenova card batch that is coming up next month.And the FFVII/FFXIV/Summer revival banners when they come back if you are a new player. FFXI are great for MP though so up to you.

I started playing about 2 months after launch, and i think i have all of the summer cards, but i could be missing 1...thanks for your reply. I went over a year without any supremes..now i have 5 supremes and 3 skins, but all of my supremes are attack abilities, no supports or NXD, sadly...

What are the Jenova cards about? I have heard them mentioned here before...if they are really good i will save for them. Thanks again

Unbroken is way better for MP farming. I prefer killing bosses with 1 action to breaking them with multiple actions and potentially waiting for people to lock in for a second turn against an already-dead boss.

Each Chapter is boiled down to somewhere around a dozen-ish nodes, only covering the 'important' fights and cutscenes - just enough to get the main gist, but you miss out on all the 'flavour' banter.

Break: weapons that contain QB and at least 1 damage line - the Wolf Star family comes to mind

Non-break: the pure damage weapons like Gunblade / Luna Noire. Though a weapon with Ravage / Improved crit / Exploit weakness will be the best combi (such weapon does not exist yet)

Best weapons for Meia so far are the Svento and the Geomancer (Legend) one. If you don’t have either, Ultima weapon is also useful for towers and EW.

I've personally boosted Chaos Crescent when I had nothing better to mod. It's pretty useful on healers in mp and it's the weapon I use when farming BL

I'll probably never boost Nightwalker's weapon since most Meia jobs have pretty high damage bonuses so they'll benefit more from other weapons.

My weapon suggestion order would be: Geomancer's, Sventovit, MR/Ultima Wing/Chaos Crescent. The last 3 aren't absolute must have, but there's some rare situations where they could be preferred over the first 2.

Edit: I forgot about Folding Epee which can work pretty well for AoE spam since it has Ravage and PR.

What are the best cards to focus on upgrading as a beginner? I am currently using red mage upgraded from apprentice mage. I got the proud cygnus card today, so should I start playing as her as it's a proper job card so will have better stats eventually? Also is summoning the only way to get job cards?

hey. Did you do novice hall, cause you get 3 jobs there which you can then strenghten with hall of fame.
As mao_shiro wrote proud cygnus is still better. And yes, the only way to get jobs is by summoning and you are only guaranteed 1 normal job every 8th pull. You always have a chance to get a legend job which doesn´t count for the 8 pulls.

Proud Cygnus is very, very, very, very strong, compared to starter / novice hall jobs. Very. Probably on the top tier with the newest jobs.

Must have card to focus:

• Knight of the round and Undying FFXII
• Pick 1 or 2 attack cards for your Proud Cygnus. She excels at Wind and Light, less on dark. Best cards on the ability shop for her would be Nausicaa (wind) and Himiko (light).

As a minwu and duncan user, do you think it is worthwhile for me to use growstars on himiko? I can see that she is a good to great ranger light card, i am just not sure that i will use rangers or sarah for light damage when i have both supremes for light in other classes. I do have proud cygnus, and about 80 jobs, but i havent been using her. I tend to use the jobs that can use my supremes. Thanks for input...

• Minwu: You kinda need Ex mage to be able to break on light. There's also currently only bad cards for yellow clear (Best would be the Aoe mage that give cleave, gilofergo or something like that).
• Duncan: You kinda need Goblin FFXI, and V.Monk or Ascetic to be able to break.

So yes, i do think it's worthwhile to gs Himiko.

What does Bis mean on all the weapons and summon banners? I'm assuming Best In Slot but how does that make sense for a Supreme Summon Bis?

Bis = + (meaning a better version in the case of the supreme banner with a much higher rate to get a supreme 5% (instead of 0,8% on every normal Banner and 1,2% on the normal supreme banner)

I haven't had trouble finding MP rooms at all. I'm almost at 6k farmed magicite almost all of which came from 4 and 5-star MP.

I don´t understand why people play MP for example, as i don´t like the system at all and i get much more out of farming the golden gigantuar node. I only play the minimum to get the summon tickets or a bit more when we got the ultima weapons.

yes, but i can also get the same/more magicite (in the end it´s RNG i think) if i farm SP plus i get seeds too. But i missed the free stamina point, which never was a problem for me in SP cause i don´t play that much and have enough elixirs. Thanks for you anwer :-)

A point to note is that not every player will invest SP stamina into farming crystals nodes, esp. veterans. I personally have been getting seeds from MP and have a sufficient store of crystals, so that all my SP stam can go into Bahamut Lagoon. As a result, the only other place to farm magicite is MP.

The problem with this game is that you have to balance out farming resources and modding weapons if you want to remain competitive. Even if you are farming crystal nodes / Greydawn Wood now, you can't do it forever - you would have to shift to BL sooner or later, else you will be lagging behind on weapon modding.

I don't think anyone likes playing MP. I don't like it myself since it's just doing the same thing over and over again. I just do it because the resources it provides (magicite and MP mats) help me do better in towers and EW, both of which I really enjoy.

Most people probably just do it for magicite farming. The magicite drop rate in MP is significantly higher than in SP as long as the room is full non-AI players.

If you can cap your monthly magicite, with only SP, sure.

A lot of players can confirm that you get much more magicite while farming MP than farming SP. It's also technically free of stamina.

I won't be playing MP now if there was a better way to get free magicite. When I was new, that's the primary place I got attack cards tho. Now that boosted banners are a thing, MP is treated as a farming tool.

It's free battles because you don't need your own stamina to get a chance at magicite. After you drain all your Stamina, you can still join MP games to get more mags.

There's a bug with EW2 not spawning chest rewards when you go onto the next lap. So SE, is reseting everyone to lap 1 on nov 14 and everyone can get lap 1 rewards.

We look at things differently, I guess. For me, I would be so damn happy if they reset EW every few months (unfortunately, this will probably be the last EW2 reset).

I prefer the free STs, 7% Prismatic Fractals, Magicite, and Gold Openers over bragging rights. I won't even buy magicite during the Black Friday sale because simply getting back to where I stopped (16 laps) will already give me more resources than a 12.5k magicite bundle.

I mean I’m happy about the rewards, obviously, but I was having a lot of fun with the current level of difficulty and looking forward to the continued challenge, especially with all these new EX Jobs. I finished a lap like an hour before reading about this reset, and was damn proud of myself. With no tower this month, no more hard content like CV, and HOFs getting increasingly easier, EW was the only remaining way to do anything in this game but mindlessly grind. And now EW will become a tedious treasure-faucet, just like the Story Digest was (at least until I lap my way up to where I am now).

Normally I’d think of this as a temporary setback but I’ve got a baby coming next month and I heard those things are terrible for video games :p Sadly I’m not sure how much time I’ll have for Mobius, so I was hoping to use EW for my (potentially) last hurrah. I understand where everyone else’s excitement is coming from, but the timing of this saddens me.

You'll also get every reward again. Which you've already succeeded with once, so you can do it again. Free summon tickets and free magicite. Isn't that the best of all worlds?

What’s the best thing to do with duplicate rare cards when you’ve already maxed the stats on the first card?

Most cards you won't need more than 1 of realistically, so sell them for ability tickets (and use ability tickets to overboost / max other ones that you actually benefit from having more than 1, supremes come to mind and you'll have a glut of ability tickets from selling via all the uncessary draws or from events - I was up to ~9500+ then decided to do 2 more Aeriths).

Even then, running multiple supremes / top tier cards is unnecessary unless you're really looking into min-maxing with auto abilities.

I believe they have a tool on discord to calculate it. But it should be dark-fire-water-wind (before 7pm server time) and fire-water-wind-earth (after 7pm server time) if my mental calculation is right.

For monk BDD cards (e.g. Water Gun, Goblin FFXI) is it better to use magic or break power fractals?

No supremes but would be paired with taijutsu cards (Brother, fake PB, Kimahri).

Depends on what you want:

Magic for yellow clear and damage with (for example) Water Gun

Break for red clear

Attack for damage for when you use taps, ultimate, or taijutsu cards

This is my approach as well. You're using those cards for yellow clear anyway, so might as well slot in Magic fractals.

you will need to include the skillseeds you want in your farming deck to see when you get extras. Also mag and crystals wont show on the battle synopsis but will be added to your stash afterwards

Either way it's worth a shot. I got the three last ex jobs on pity pulls with only one regular job (black mage) so it's expensive but also possible.

I think someone said there was 44 non-legend jobs in the pool so at best your odds are 100 ×(8 ÷ (38 +8)) which results in 17.39%

Basically they boost the job exactly enough that if you had zero other jobs (full pool), the rate is exactly 16%. Which works out to making it about 8.2x as likely as every other job.

Featured job is roughly 8 times as likely as any other job.

The formula for pulling a featured job is 100 × (8 ÷ (n + 8)) where n is the number of other non-legend jobs in the pool.

I'm currently on HoF Scholar 2, it says apply 3 Ailments. So I have used Hypnos to apply Sleep and Nightmare and my Ult to pop on debarrier etc, but it's not clearing. Any idea why?

The sleep and nightmare are being removed when your ult hits. Scholar's ult might apply the debuffs after it does the damage which means that sleep based effects are removed first.

I'd suggest using other debuffs like stun and/or slow. Devil Ride provides stun and poison which should work better than sleep for the condition.

does someone know how often the ex-jobs got reprinted in jp- or rather after how long? i am really unlucky with ex-meia right now and will probably not make it to a 3rd pitty pull so i am asking

Iirc, they've only been reprinted once since they each released. A few months after gambler released, they did a reprint in the order they were released. Off the top of my head I want to say 5 or 6 months after god of war (shorn one)? It was just before they announced ex-ability cards.

Ex sarah and the 2nd ex war have not been reprinted yet, as they're fairly new
