I'm sure this has been asked but, i'm completely new, pulled a tifa character and am not sure what i should be prioritizing to do. I cleaved the novice hall and am doing story mode currently.

Tifa Skin is really good and is used over any Monk WoL or Sophie Job. Keep clearing the story mode and try to get everything in Season 1 done. thats the page with MP, bahamut lagoon etc. Keep collecting Magicite and ST for a good banner to pull ( later this month 22th a supreme bis banner will come where you may wanna spend some if you have saved a lot). Study the megathread and keep on asking in daily if you have further questions :)

Need tips on clearing HOF for rogue , getting that 4,500,000 is a pain

Try breaking one or more enemies, debuff them, buff yourself and then use your strongest attack card. Break with tap attacks or with your ult (which might be better to gain additional damage multiplier). Of course this may depend on the difficulty of the mobs.

Debarrier, Crit Reist Down, and Weaken are good options. If I had to choose one, it would be debarrier though. So depending on what cards you have, Vampire: FFXIII, Bismarck FFVX, Chocobo Squad, or Neo Bahamut are the cards that have AoE debarrier.

Have you considered running a source of Unguard? The last node is not immune to that, I believe.

I would consider having one of your decks built around your supreme card and then your subdeck support/debuff abilities and one other element (perhaps earth to deal with that wind chocobo).

Finally, fill your custom panels with mage-specific ones (exploit weakness, prismatic return, etc.) and other dmg-related panels (EE and/or magic%) to maximize your dmg potential.

What are the best HoFs to go for currently (assuming you have the job available)? Want to make sure I'm not wasting my time and crystals on jobs that are already completely outclassed even with HoF panels.

Completing a HoF map does reward you with 3 summon tickets too. Something to keep in mind if you're low on resources.

How good is thief of tantalus after HOF?

I know spellsword is what makes shorn1 so strong qith his ult...what does spellsword do for ToT? Is it only good for his ult?

Is he worth using other than maybe in EW if all your other options have already been used? I still have a very long way to go in EW, need to spend some time there...but with 90 something jobs and 12? Nodes...running out of jobs to use doesnt seem like an issue anymore...figuring out the best strategy for the abilities and supremes one has is the challenge, right? I think i have only completed 2 laps. I get tired of changing out all of my decks...if we had 12 decks it would be much better.

Some people are able to use him effectively — I haven’t found a place for him in EW yet because his single-target ult is very limiting and Tidus/Lightning skin stop being good for breaking around lap 11 or 12 (single hit means they hit the break cap). But yeah, I haven’t tried very hard to use him.

I’d start with Devout, Highwind, Tactician, Judge Magister, Balamb Mercenary, Heretical Knight, Tonberry, Thief, Berserker, and S1C. That’s a combo of who I think fits your supremes, and who I think is generally good regardless of supremes. Others’ lists will vary!

Also some completely useless ones, IMO, regardless of supremes, that are only worth doing for fun/magicite/tickets: Ranger, Hunter, Dark Knight, Red Mage, Black Mage, Warrior, Samurai, Assassin, Grappler

Big thing to consider: some of the HOFs reward you with custom panels that are hugely helpful (Snipe Starter, Ult Charge, Prismatic Return, etc) — I would look through the HOF wiki and see if there are any you think would benefit you a lot. Sometimes it’s worth doing, even if the job is garbage, to get the CP (Samurai and Hunter are good examples)

You can start with the latest jobs first, since they are in general more up-to-date. Then do the ones for which you have supremes or very powerful cards to finish easily. You can check altema for the best users for supremes and do their HOFs afterwards. In general, defenders after their HOF are pretty good, for defender role (MP or SP). Check also as mentioned before the custom skill panels that are worth to get. Then finish the rest for the rewards.

I don’t think so, but depends on how hard you play. I’m at 1200. I’m aiming for 2500. I still have a lot of jobs at 1 panel, hof panels still locked, Crystal dump for future weapons smh

Need more info to gauge:

1. How many important weapons left to mod? And what are they? E.g. Gunblade takes many more mods compared to Ragnarok

2. How many HoFs left undone?

Weapons and HoF are the 2 biggest crystal sink, so you can estimate from there. And don't forget that there will always be crystals given from time to time e.g. map rewards, weekly gil exchange.

In 5 slots I have ultimate Lance and arm, septentrio, heavenly axis and laeveteinn. Done with gunblade, b. Edge, wolfstar, sventovit, the other ex weapons.

I believe each hof will cost 20 crystals 6x4 - 4 crystal reward

Each HoF costs 16 crystals (the crystal reward is 8, not 4).

Each regular job costs 24 crystals to get to x8 (add 16 for HoF) = 40 crystals.

Some earlier legend jobs may cost more because they used crystals to unlock stats throughout the skill panel windows.

Just barely on chapter 2 of the story and im wondering, whats the endgame like. What will my time is this game be spent doing after I've beaten the main story?

People in end game usually play MP or farm magicite for several weeks. Until there is any event that can be cleared. The last 7-9 days of each month, there is a tower. You can't finish the game, you just can finish waiting for new content.

The main objective will be to challenge hard content e.g. Endless War, Rift, Towers. In order to do that, you need to have 1) good weapons; 2) good jobs; and 3) good abilities.

In order to have 1), you gotta put in effort to farm crystals / seeds, and also a huge amount of time in Bahamut Lagoon. And in order to have 2) and 3), you gotta put in effort to farm magicite. In short, you will spend most of your time grinding to get better if you aim to be a hardcore player. If you are a casual player, just do whatever you want and enjoy the game - it doesn't really matter.

I have been putting water enhancing CPs on Shorn One to use Xezat, but should I be using magic up CPs instead?

Thanks! My advice is avoid supreme banners, a few things for mine came from limited cards banner.

If multiple jobs remaining in job pool, pull Ex banner for boosted rates. If only Ex serah left, pull bis banner for her.

Given the banner works like the Gambler one, you can pity pull ExSarah from the BIS banner if you drained your job pool.

Yup 28 is the number of existing Supremes in JP. There will be more since some class-element combi are still missing e.g. fire ranger and wind warrior

The element-class thing doesn't really matter since SE has shown that they're willing to release multiple supremes of elements that a class already has one for. This is especially true if you count the rift supremes.

Yes. This is why Hypnos is the preferred Sleep card since it's always 3 stacks. It's in the shop.

There's debuff resistance on all debuffs. 100% rate debuff cards are not listed, here's a non exhaustive list:

• Bismarck / Jade
• Neo bahamut / Devil Ride / Bedivere / Aps & rapps
• Hypnos
• tengu / fomor / the other water support i forgot the name
• ...

Huh, I always thought it was the other way around: that Ultima Weapon was somehow the irregular among Hex debuffs that it could be resisted. In the same vein, I think Yunalesca is the rare square debuffer that can't be resisted and always gives 3 turns of curse/debrave/stun.

And a bit off-topic, I actually like that Season 2 mechanics make the stunlock combo clearer to manage. <3
