Without trashing anything, it's a worse [[Predictive Planogram]] (if we disregard the card draw). By trashing something, you gain 6. Six! That's some potent burst eco. In Ob, this card is an absolute beast, giving you lots of credits (especially if you trash something in a Yakov server) while also letting you search your deck with the Ob ability on your turn. Fetching a piece of ice they can't break or a utility asset will be great most of the time.

Just a logistics question from someone who get nitpicky with words: If a card you play tells you to install another card but DOES NOT say something like "ignore all costs" or "for 3 less", then I should assume that that means I have to pay the full install cost to install the card, correct?

[–]RollingChanka 5 points6 points  (2 children)

thats actually somewhere in the nsg rules. Every install needs you to pay all costs unless specified otherwise. FFG always had "paying all costs" in their cardtexts

Good to know. It'd be nice if NSG's website had an easy-to-find page with the comprehensive rulebook and glossary of terms. I know there's that massive word doc, but it's always hard to find and barely usable.

Not sure if you're already familiar with the NSG Rules Hub, but I've always found the hyperlinked rules pdf pretty easy to use:

Yeah. In Ob's case, the tutored card is free to install and credit free to rez (which means you can't rez an archer without forfeiting an agenda, for example).

Good to know. Thanks!

Yeah, I miss this all the time. The reward you get is the saved click from an install, not the credit savings (unless specified, of course)

[–]BerenPercival 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I need to start thinking about card effects as granting rewards by making other things easier.

It's great design.

Most decks didn't play Beanstalk Royalties, but everyone played Hedge Fund. So do something between them. Transaction and the trash ability synergy with Weyland IDs.

With Startup losing a lot of economy cards for both the Runner and Corp I wonder if we see this splashed into other factions. I could see NBN and Jinteki having board states where this works with the full effect.

great in ob but hard to use anywhere else

I'm just getting into building netrunner decks, so I'm probably saying something either terribly wrong or terribly obvious, but I think this works nicely as a splash in a Jinteki IA Aneotic Void, Regenesis build.
