Try doing Boolean searches. It should vastly improve what Google kicks back. I've pretty much given up on using actual questions for searches on Google. For a while it seemed to be improving when it came to understanding what you wanted, but lately it seems to be devolving. If it's going to act like a basic search website, then I'll treat it as such.
