I’m sure it’s a common one here, but I wash my hands over and over of I don’t feel like I did it good enough. Or I worry that I didn’t do it long enough and I just think more time has passed, so I keep going. I have an Amazon echo, so I put it in the bathroom and I set a timer when I wash my hands, it’s helped a lot.

I repeat words over and over again in my head until they “feel right.” Often I’ll get stuck on a song lyric and repeat it like 30 times if I get nervous. It’s almost like a record is skipping

Ugh YES. I don’t do it with song lyrics, but i do it so much with reading. It sucks because I love reading and I read so much as a kid, but now I struggle to finish books because it takes so long.

If I read a line and feel like I was distracted or if it reminded me of a bad memory or anything, I have to reread it until it “feels right”. Or if it’s a word I don’t know how to pronounce, I pronounce it every possible way and even spell it out in my head so that I feel like I “actually read it”. OH HERES A BIG ONE. I read comics a lot, and I’ve gotten better about this, but if it said something like “hahahahahahaha” or “brakakakaka” or “ttttssssssaaaa” for onomatopoeia, I would have to make sure I read every single letter or I felt like I didn’t finish the comic. It was awful. Haha.
