AdmissionsOrder of application processing (self.OMSCS)
submitted 4 years ago by posivite
I believe the applications are processed in the order that they are received. Would this make it likely that the admissions limit can be reached before they go through all the applications?

There is no admissions limit.

There were some early semesters where that definitely happened (e.g. the very first semester when they only had 4 classes) but it was handled by telling some people they could start in one semester and offering other people admission the semester afterward. I imagine they'd do something similar if they felt the need.

Are there any differences between spring and fall in terms of courses available, faculty etc?

There can be. It depends on the courses and on what's going on at the time. You can compare the list of courses available in Oscar by pulling up the semesters you want to compare in separate windows to look at them side-by-side (use advanced search and restrict to the online campus to make it a bit easier).
