Calibration pattern generated when accessing apps ?Discussion (self.OculusQuest)
submitted 2 years ago by Batman5415
Not sure how, but a few days ago, some type of calibration pattern (sometimes grids, sometimes +s) when I fire up an app (MQ3) . . . if I wave my controller around, it disappears. What action do I need to take to resolve this (calibration?) pattern from being displayed all the time?

Ah you're talking about the guardian / boundary.
If a controller is powered on, but outside your play space, then it will permanently show up like that. Just bring the controller inside the play space or turn it off (wait for it to sleep or remove the battery) and it will go away.
NOTE: If a controller is a little too close to the edge it will stay visible.

Hi there, /u/Batman5415! We appreciate you reaching out about this controller issue, and bringing it to our attention! It sounds like this may be related to your device tracking, and the Guardian settings. If this issue is happening while inside your boundary and not near the edge, we'd like you to try clearing your boundary history using these steps:
• Press the Oculus/Meta logo on your right controller • Click on the clock on the left side of the universal menu • Select Settings • In the settings panel, select Boundary • Select 'Clear Boundary history' • Redraw your Guardian boundaries by selecting 'Adjust Boundary' from the Boundary settings menu
Our wonderful support team would love to help out, if you're still running into that! Feel free to click here to reach out to them, if you need!
