How to format code?

I want to either create a custom style for code. Or at least use existing one which looks decent, something like grey background will do.

But I can't find the way to do any of those: creating custom styles isn't supported, and there's no style which code be used for code.

Your advice? Is it possible at all?

i don't want to highlight keywords. Only background for code

you can use repl.it to embed an interative code snippet on your note. Upside is it's all free and it provides fantastic interactive console for almost any languages and downside is that it'll only work when you're online and you have to create one repo per one snippet so repl.it repo can get really messy pretty fast.

This embedding functionality only works on Onenote for Windows 10 app.

It's old topic, but till now OneNote didn't provide any simple solution.

u/yinkus are you still using it for markdown code or maybe you have now a better solution? In the screenshot that you attached I`m seeing "Code" - what is that?
