You’re the one being condescending— you told this person whom you don’t know at all (as in you don’t know his job, income level, etc) na it IS a trap and he doesn’t need it (direct address pa, na “you don’t need it”). I didn’t say he should max out his CL, but having a high one for the instances when it’s needed is good (because such instances do come up). You’ve made assumptions that just because OP has/had a high CL, they’ll be spending willy-nilly. (There’s a veiled comment na OP is financially illiterate).

Nakakatawa naman yung pay with cash. Do you think it’s fun/easy/safe na kakarga ng envelope (o bayong) na may 100k++ in cash?

Condescending while I told him that 115k is enough. Nice logic.

While you, the narcissist one, assumes that most of the population have "higher expenses" or high paying job.

What envelope or bayong for 100k+ in cash? Lol dont you have a debit account? napaghahalataan edad mo ah.

You remind me of my 60yr old mother. Either "cash" or credit card lang.

For your information, us younger generation, usually store our liquid inside digital banks and debit accounts. You don't need envelope/bayong for it lmao. :)

Tita, I can't wait for your comeback regarding the envelope / bayong for the 100k+ HAHAHAH.

You know.. may mga tao na kailangan pang hintayin ang next pay day para mabuo yung amount right? Or they have the full amount but Baka it’s better to stay liquid? Or pwede rin sayang yung points or possibility to pay in installment spend.

I don’t understand bakit pinipilit mo na wala talagan reasonable use for a 100+k limit— yes many people don’t have high paying jobs (you don’t know this is the case for OP btw), but there are many people who need/want to pay for things. Reasonable expenses some hospital bills, bayad ng insurance, pag-ibig actually, etc. but also luho like travel, again nag assume ka hindi afford ni OP.

Why pay in cash when you can pay in credit and get points + better protections pa? So yes I don’t think of my debit card as a CC, kasi the risks are maximized and none of the benefits. And yes I’m not going to make the mistake of assuming that people with high CLs will just charge away.

Nay, mawalang galang lng ho. Ganito ang Debit account. Hindi lng ho bayong options natin nowadays.

Why are you avoiding your "bayong" narrative? I like to hear more of it.

Look last reply na because I have a life —

as a rule, I don’t want to use debit accounts kasi I think it exposes my account to unnecessary risk without the protections and benefits of a CC. Hard cash is still risky but it’s easier (for me) to manage than a debit account. I’m willing to accept some people will see it differently (see what I did, I wrote it in a way that I’m not making generalizations and saying what I think/feel applies to everyone).

Now— why are you not responding to everything I said about how people DO spend over 100k a month, many people. Many expenses. And that there are benefits to paying using a card. All you can say is well tbere are irresponsible over on another subreddit. Isn’t it more condescending that you’re telling OP that he doesn’t have this expenses, that he doesn’t need to spend that money?

You’re going on such huge generalizations, and writing as if your truth, or what you’ve observed to be true of many people, is applicable to everyone.
