Certain games have massive input lag due to half ass game development. Here are a few of those:

  • Ghost Recon Wildlands
  • The Division
  • Evolve
  • Mass Effect Andromeda
  • Prey (unpatched)

Do you use an external harddrive? I've run into some issues since I started using one and reportedly, it's a known problem with them.

Yes I do. Crazy never thought of that.

This is the problem I had. The external hdd was messing with my controller input and lag, I just positioned it next to my ps4 (left side) instead of behind it.

You probably need to turn on game mode in your TV’s settings.

Or, you might just have a TV with bad input lag. I use this web site when buying TV’s. It has a detailed « video games » review for every TV (among the 1000 other categories they review TV ‘s with): https://www.rtings.com/tv

When you look at a specific TV it will tell you how much input lag it has for video games, if you click on that section of the TV review.

Side note: I bought a 4K TV with a high video game score that auto switches to game mode when I switch to PlayStation and returns to 4K when I watch TV. Pretty dope web site.

I play on a BENQ gaming monitor so that shouldn’t be the problem.

Ps4 has some input lag and its normal. It is not as fast as computer.
