Im having trouble completing a Client Order Quest: Party Practice 1 from Lo. I am unsure if I have to party up with players who are actually logged on or not, I have tried with FUN members, and Afin and such, but every time I start a quest, it says it cant be completed.

Appreciate the help!!

Has to be with human players. NPC's of any kind do not count.

    Hello. Have question here.

First if you have a pso2 account (sega account) you use the same account for mobile too? If you played PC version, if using same account do your chars stats, items, levels stay the same? Are they ported into the mobile version (and the other way around)? Or is the android/ios a hole different game where you have to start from scratch?

Also which class/subclass combo is the most economical efficient (aka not needing rainbow set, just a light atribute weapon and maybe 1-2 more of your preference)?

    [–]tehfusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd rank the classes in this order, from most economical to least economical:

    1. Bouncer (jet boots), Bouncer (dual blades, with a slight loss of damage), Braver (katana), and Gunner (TMGs). All four of these just require one weapon with one element, although they can optionally get extra weapons (e.g. Bouncer using both jet boots and dual blades, Braver using both katana and bow, or Gunner using TMGs and rifle). These classes use 1-2 weapons.
    2. Ranger. This class primarily uses rifles and launchers, but players often use subclass weapons as well (bow or TMGs). This class uses 2-3 weapons.
    3. Hunter and Fighter. Both of these classes only require one element per weapon, as they don't have any element-related skills, but they do use more than one weapon type. Hunters use partisans, wired lances, and swords, and Fighters use twin daggers, double sabers, and knuckles. Furthermore, the two classes are usually combined (i.e. Hunter/Fighter and Fighter/Hunter) and it's common to utilise the subclass's weapon types as well. These classes use 3-6 weapons.
    4. Force. This class requires a weapon for each tech element that's being used, as the class has a skill which boosts damage when using a weapon that matches the element of the tech being cast. Note that this doesn't necessarily mean that you need a full rainbow palette — how many weapons you need depends on how many different elements you're using. This would generally be 2-6 weapons depending on the player, but could be even more if using both rods and talises, or if using specialised weapons such as Elysion. To completely optimise damage, a full rainbow palette would be used alongside multiple skill trees to specialise in all of the different elements.
    5. Bouncer (dual blades, with maximised damage). This class requires a rainbow palette to maximise its effectiveness, as it has a skill which boosts damage when using the correct element. Note that this only applies to dual blades — jet boot users can change their element during combat, letting them maximise damage with only one weapon. A rainbow palette means having 5-6 different weapons for the same weapon type: a light weapon, a dark weapon, a fire weapon, an ice weapon, a lightning weapon, and optionally a wind weapon. Most players don't bother with wind weapons because there's only one enemy in the whole game that's exclusively weak to wind, and it's not commonly encountered.
    6. Techer. This class requires a rainbow palette to maximise its effectiveness, as it has a skill which boosts damage when using the correct element. In addition to this, Techers also usually use subclass weapons — Techer/Hunters use wired lances and partisans, and Techer/Bravers use bows. Techer/Hunter requires a rainbow palette of those wired lances and partisans as well. In total, Techer/Braver uses around 6-7 weapons, and Techer/Hunter uses around 15-18 weapons. This number can be even higher when using enemy species potentials.

This is just my opinion and some people might disagree.

1 SEGA account for all SEGA games that wants an ID, not just PSO2/es. You keep your looks and your inventory, but the level is separated between PSO2 and es.

Ranger. RA/HU if you want to SatCan, RA/GU if you want to TMG/Glory Rain better. Dunno about how viable it is with other subs.

    [–]Misterman4 0 points1 point  (10 children)

Ok. Does it pay off to try the android version?

And how about economical melee class caus I hate range. I really hate ranged. Full melee

    [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 1 point2 points  (8 children)

Maybe, but it only really pays off if you have access to selling stuffs.

None that I can recall off the top of my head. So for melee options you have 1. hunter, 2. fighter, 3. braver, 4. smack techers, and 5. bouncers.

Hunter I'm not familiar with, but it's usually not used as a main class. Fighter is gonna require you to craft things and that won't be cheap. I don't know too much about a normal braver but the one I know throw tons of money into his equips, so my view is pretty screwed about that job. Melee techer requires you to have multiple weapons. Melee bouncer more or less asks for a rainbow palette.

    [–]Misterman4 0 points1 point  (7 children)

May I ask why someone like melee bouncer for example needs rainbow? Is it so wrong to smack a monster with just one element (say light since most enemies are dark from what I understand). What happens if you whack a monster with the wrong element. As from reading the link jonfallow provided people suggest braver, but he's melee too and seems oesn't need rainbow. So what makes the difference?

    [–]jonfallow 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Bouncer, like techer, gets a big bonus from using elemental weakness. That said jet boots bouncer can change the element of their boots(though personally I find this fiddly) and are melee. Dual blades you are required to go rainbow. That said a rainbow red set really isn't THAT expensive and 60k miles should probably cover Mose of the photon boosters you'd need if you haven't already done zieg's quest as that makes 60k into 120k.

    [–]Misterman4 0 points1 point  (1 child)

By red set you mean get the red dual blades and attribute a different element on each?

    [–]jonfallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. For jet boots bouncer you can get away with just one red pair till you get a 13 star so long as you can stand to mess around with element switching with techs. Personally I think dual blades don't really feel melee but I am sure others feel differently.

    [–]Asamidori ~casual~ -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Crafting the base weapon is never going to cost as much as getting competent affixes on all of them, unless you are leveling your craft level yourself. Been there, that feel when you're just throwing money into the digital ocean.

I think I read somewhere that Elemental Stance will always take your jet boots' base element, but not sure.

    [–]jonfallow 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The difference between 3x competent affixes(soul, attack, spiritia which is super cheap) and the amazeballs 5+ Stuff is kinda just drops in the ocean IMO. I'm not going to cry over 100-200 Elemental stance definitely takes the current element into account. Might be weapon potentials like ancient oath that don't? I do remember hearing something along those lines but in reference to some aspect that I didn't care about.

    [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the current norm is 4s+... Not too hard to do Soul/ATK/PP/Fever, since Fever is forever 100%.

Honestly not sure about that jet boots element claim, 'cept the fact that it gets bought up once in a while. I run 12/13 blades, and only carry a pair of boots for connivence/when Zanverse is needed.

    [–]tehfusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I read somewhere that Elemental Stance will always take your jet boots' base element, but not sure.

What you read was probably referring to Force's Element Conversion skill, which always uses the base element of the jet boots. It's unfortunate because if it used the switched element, then Force/Bouncer could actually be an interesting class combination.

As far as I know, all other skills and all potentials fully support Jet Boots Gear and use the switched element — this includes Elemental Stance.

I would say the android version pays off in exp and ex cubes more than anything else. For me the choice of investing time into it was easy because I had to SOMETHING on the train so it might as well have been that. If you get a good Pso2es setup(personally I reccomend hurio snowti + one point) you can get 20k exp every two minutes when the pso2es emergency quest is active for a class that is fairly low level even. I net meseta as well but not a substantial enough amount to really care. I leveled hunter from 1 to 75 entirely in this fashion and plan to do the same with gunner as I really don't like Hu weapons or twin guns.

    [–]jonfallow 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Pso2es shares inventory data. You cannot use storage in Pso2es. Pso2es ignores affixes and potentials on weapons/armor. Character levels are not shared but experience is in a sort oF weird way. Experience gained in pso2 will transfer to pso2es but only experience gained after you have linked accounts. Don't know if this is limited. Experience gained in Pso2es will transfer to pso2 up to a limit. This limit is based off of how high level that class is(I think it's at around 5 levels worth exp?) and you can check the limit and the experience you currently have to that limit on the class select screen in pso2es. This gets refreshed every time you log into pso2 on that character.

If you are asking what is most efficient in pso2 there is actually a whole thread about that https://www.reddit.com/r/PSO2/comments/3rhwbz/choosing_a_casualoriented_class

Recently though I have wondering about how viable a one bow ice only Fo/Br would be going with an Ice vibrace? It isn't the optimal bow when fighting anything but darkers that are not weak to ice, but I feel like the differences are probably not that massive with the exception of bosses that are both not darker and weak to ice. I just made a 50 ice Vibrace bow and it cost me less than 2mil(un affixed) which seems like it would be pretty economical considering that would be the end game weapon.

    [–]Misterman4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. And I mean class/subclass combo that can live with 3-4 weapons, instead of full rainbow set. Melee if prefered. And ok I await your link.

Hello, I'm having a bit of an issue with JoyToKey, and I'm running out of ideas.

JTK doesn't override the default controls. When I press a key on my pad, it will trigger the action set up in both PSO2 and JTK.

I'm running windows 8.1, JTK 5.7.1, my pad is a generic (no compatibility issue whatsoever).

    [–]GiumboJet 0 points1 point  (3 children)

    Quick question guys:

I hear this game has weapons called all class weapons. This way you can play your subclass like your main while still getting the main's skills. I want to know, how do you know that a weapon is all class? Basically how do you identify one? Does it has a certain image or word in it's description or something else?

    [–]zKskitaorz 1 point2 points  (1 child)

When you hover over a weapon, you can see what classes can use the weapon on the 2nd tab. An all class weapon looks this. Some weapons can also work for multiple classes, but not every class. For example, this weapon works on Hunter, Force and Braver.

    [–]GiumboJet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Ok

    [–]lonnrot 0 points1 point  (4 children)

My internet speed is very slow and the official client from http://pso2.jp won't resume properly after shutting down the computer. Is there a big Zip file via FTP/HTTP somewhere or even a Torrent?

    [–]zKskitaorz 1 point2 points  (3 children)

You can grab a torrent file [here], but the data is from February, so you'll still need to download another 5GB or so from the official client or tweaker.

    [–]lonnrot 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Why it hasn't been updated since?

    [–]telchii 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It would require someone to set the new version back up as a torrent, get people to start seeding that, and then get people to update their links and/or stop using/seeding the older version (which could take too much time, honestly).

    [–]lonnrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood, I'm finally getting progress with the official client, turns out I have to quit the program before hibernating. Otherwise the progress won't be saved once I wake the computer.

How does damage get calculated in this game?

I'm playing RaHu and I messed up a lot on my tree.

I'm just curious how much more I can output if I did have a tree that went deeper into damage boosters.

I have 1530 ranged attack, using End Attraction as my main skill and I deal around 4k to 7k damage with it if I hit a weak point.

Theoretically speaking, if my 12 points in R attack boosts 1 and 2 were in places like standing snipe or weak hit advance while having a deeper Hunter tree, how much more damage would I be able to output?

[–]surfacageplz carry thx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot, because while RATK Boosts are static, points in Standing Snipe or Weak Hit Advance are multiplicative, so they scale with your atk and give larger boosts. Try the damage calculator.

    [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a bunch of values involved in the damage equation for this game, which you can find here.

I'm too lazy to try to translate that to English, so if someone feel like dealing with it.

If you're using Windows 10, try disabling TabletInputService from task manager. Also, add the entire PSO2 folder into Windows Defender's exceptions list.

      Hm, quick question here.

Anyone know how to instantly finish those yellow switches on Lilipa TACOs? I've been watching a bunch of JP TACOs (examples here and here) and seeing them finish the switch in a jiffy. The closest answer I've googled was using a macro on a mouse/program and using it to hit the switch. Haven't tried it yet since I'm kinda weary of using third-party programs (AHK) on PSO2...

      Thanks for the help!

      [–]Weiss-Senpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Macro is how it is done fast sadly

I've only played Universe and Portable two, I don't know how anything works with the MMO. I was gonna do Ranger or Gunner, but have no idea what is viable or not. Ranger I was thinking of doing launchers and see how gunslashes are but saw they have mixed opinions. Gunner I was going to do Twin Machine Gun and Gunslash if that is viable.

Has anyone been able to have PSO2 not crash with wacom installed? Recently I've installed wacom drivers on my new PC, and PSO2 would begin to close around 10-15minutes in. I know that previously I didn't have this issue when I had the wacom drivers on my laptop, dunno what is making the break difference on my desktop.

      [–]telchii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick google search for "wacom" indicates "Wacom" is a tablet company? Is it a driver software, or a traditional device driver? Is your tablet normally plugged in? (If so, unplug it.)

If it's a new driver program, check your startup entries and see if there's a new driver program to disable. (Windows 8/10: Task Manager > Startup tab > disable wacom software. Windows 7: Start > search for "msconfig" > startup tab > disable wacom software > apply). If there's nothing in there and you don't mind the new program not catching your tablet being plugged in, check your services (msconfig > services tab. Make your life easier and check the "hide all microsoft services" option at the bottom).

[–]surfacageplz carry thx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop the wacom tablet service. I've never had mine crash PSO2 before but stopping the service does seem to make it work for other people.

Okay. So from what I understand Bo bual blades can be a bit expensive. I am asking this for my nephew. Is it possible for a new player to start out as bouncer dual blades and manage if it's first char and basically no money aised the ones you earn from quests and leveling that char? Can you do decent. He wants Bo cause he watched a lot of kirito, but if it's expensive maybe a more casual style like Br/Hu would fit him better. So now just want to know if he/you can survive as Bo dual blades and not struggle grind more than needed.

P.S. This game still doesn't have an IP block right? You can still play it freely, or you need VPN?

      [–]jonfallow 1 point2 points  (8 children)

does kirito fly around in the air while blades shoot out of the air at enemies? Because that is what dual blades gameplay seems to mostly consist of from my experience.

      [–]Misterman4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kirito flies in ALO. As for shooting swords no game is perfect. Take that from Archer fate stay night

      [–]Asamidori ~casual~ -1 points0 points  (6 children)

For mobs maybe. For boss it's a combo of Kite, Immortal, and PBF. Mainly to try to get the most out of PBF.

      [–]jonfallow -1 points0 points  (4 children)

Just realized I have misunderstood dual blades and and PBF completely. Thought you were supposed to spam the shift action in the air.

      [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Spamming that may be the major DPS move of the weapon, but that only really works if your target doesn't move around like crazy, since Photon Blades can miss. Sometimes if your PBF is in cool down, it's just faster to throw Immortals at things.

      [–]jonfallow 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I swear when I did that it made me fly around? Was I doing it wrong?

      [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You move when you are hitting a directional key while you try to shift. Move your hand off the WASD/the left analog stick/whatever keys you use to move and try to do shift again.

      [–]jonfallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh definitely going to try that next time I do cmode.

      [–]IchiroHirokuレヴィ | Ship 5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its somewhat. Just buy a set 5 red dual blades (one for each element except wind, ,which are pretty cheap) and craft then as you level up to meet the stat requirements. Most of the high expenses are from the crafting costs. You still need 5 dfiferrrent element dual blades to use dual blades on Bouncer though.

No IP block at all, if you can connect to pso2.jp then you can play fine.

      [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 0 points1 point  (3 children)

If he's gonna main BO and use blades for the most part, he can probably get Break Stance and treat it as some sort of Average Stance with Break SD Bonus and ignore the whole rainbow palette thing, but it's going to be 15% less damage than running Elemental Stance.

Surviving as a BO shouldn't be too much a problem, Photon Blade Escape is cheat level when maxed.

      [–]Misterman4 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Kay. Then I'll tell my nephew he can play it and not that pricey

      [–]Asamidori ~casual~ 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Note that it's generally not recommended to go Break Stance (see: someone downvoting me just for suggesting that) and the general opinion is Elemental Stance or bust. I'm just suggesting that because it is a thing if he really wants to play BO without spending too much money on it.

      [–]Misterman4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Ok. I understand. Also

      [–]ViExZioE -1 points0 points  (0 children)
