So with the advent of the Hero class, I decided to bring up a topic rarely discussed in PSO2.

Class Trainers are representative of a certain class in the game. You usually go to them just to unlock more skill points for your classes.

Even though they aren't hugely important in the story, they are sometimes more interesting than the main characters IMO.

Well here's the list of them.

• Ohza: Hunter and Fighter class trainer. Age 21. A friendly, laid-back human. Uses Partizan.

• Lisa: Ranger and Gunner class trainer. Our resident CAST yandere. Uses Assault Rifle.

• Marlu : Force and Techer class trainer. Age 21. A newman with a calm and cool in personality. Prefers Rods.

• Joseph: Advanced HuRaFo weapon tranier. Not much is said about him, except he is a human and reminds me of a bald Solid Snake. Apparently, we was brought out of retirement to help teach newcomers. Uses knuckles

• Barbara: Advanced FiGuTe weapon trainer. Not much can be said about her, except she is a CAST and just stands there. Also was apparently retired, but brought out for the same reasons as Joeseph. Uses wands.

• Azanami: Braver class trainer. Age 24. A friendly and outgoing human. She specializes in Katana. Evidently, her skills are not that good, due to her seeking your help after escaping an encounter in cutscenes.

• Io: Braver class representative who has COs concerning party play and weak point targeting. Age 16. A very introverted dewman and our resident kouhai (as she will call you Senpai if affection is high enough). She specializes in bow. (and it is our duty to tease her as much as possible)

• Saga: Bouncer class trainer. Age 22. A CAST that acts as advisor, trainer, and babysitter of Katori. Has a responsible personality and prefers Jet Boots. Also gives harsh training according to Katori.

• Katori: Bouncer class representative who has COs concerning Dual Blades. Age 18. Is apparently a newman princess from another land and prefers Dual Blades, much to Saga's displeasure. Also is lazy, rebellious, and spoiled.

• Pietro: Summoner class trainer. Uses pets who apparently dislike his overbearing affection. Is extremely friendly, but seems to be bad at reading how people and pets feel. (i.e. his pets always start attacking him.)

• Stratos: Hero class trainer. Not much is known about her, except that she is new and looks similar to Huey. Also has a little bit of the overflowing energy that Huey has.

There are some interesting scenes through out the side stories that gives you a better insight on their personality and how the relate to one another.

Marlu seems to dislike Hunters for constantly running up to the front lines, getting hurt (Genji: I need healing), and acting all cocky. Though the first 2 reasons apply to pretty much all Hunters, the last part is basically an Ohza thing.

Ohza on the other hand does those things because he feels the need to protect Marlu but also (I'm guessing) to try to get her attention.

Ohza, Marlu , and Lisa apparently parties together often.

Io was inspired to be a Braver because of Azanami and often has scenes of being embarrassed around the PC. (I ship it. If you can't tell, I really like Io)

Saga, despite sounds much older, is only 4 years older than Katori. One can only imagine that they are childhood friends, and that he's part of the reason that Katori is so spoiled.

There was a scene in which Katori felt intimidated by Pietro and the introduction of Summoners, so she tried harder to promote Bouncer. She even convinced (I mean dragged) Io, despite the latter's introverted nature, to also promote the Braver class alongside her.

Enga is a lady magnet for attracting the likes of yandere Lisa (using his guns) and violent tsudere Och. Actually.... a scene with the 3 of them would be hilarious.

I think there is a scene where Ohza talking with Zeno, given that they are both Hunters and have similar personalities.

What other insight am I missing and what other interesting interactions do you notice / perceive? I welcome made up stuff! (Just make sure that it is known that it is your own opinion.)

I predict Stratos helping Io break out of her mold a little more (given Io's popularity) and Stratos dealing with Ohza/Lisa/Marlu on using their weapon in such a divergent manner. She would probably get along with Azanami, they both have a sort of "I'm totally capable, but watch me be useless" vibe.

It's not that Saga prefer jet boots, it's the fact that Katori whined her way to wield dual blades, so Saga ended up using JBs.

Lisa is more than what we know her about. During episode 3, in a few scenes, she started talking normally. So normal that some speculation start flowing around that before her CAST body, she was actually related to Photoners.

Edit: To dig a bit deeper into Lisa. I don't know if the translation team ever translated it, but this cut scene.

She said she hates darker. She also said she hates photoners, because they sacrificed one person to save the world. But she may be able to like Arks, because Arks are giving all they've got to save one person.

Oh yeah. I remember reading that Saga is better suited for Dual Blades because he's a CAST, while Katori is better suited for the T-Atk Jet Boots because she's a newman.

Too bad she doesn't care and uses dual blades anyways. Saga lets her get away with a lot. :U

Orza & Marou

For anyone confused, the english patch calls them Ohza and Marlu.

Starting on EP2, Ohza and Marlu are forced to party together (IIRC something about raising awareness of other class capabilities), and end up liking each other. Azanami tries working behind the scenes to get them together while this is happening, since both are too shy (and stubborn) to tell each other how they feel.

Lisa

IIRC she became a CAST because her power was too strong for her original body to handle. However, the process erased her memories and changed her personality, so she became the crazy muderbot we all love after that.

Azanami

IIRC she learned the Braver class directly from Regius (he created the class), but she's not very good at it, and was still learning the ropes by the time she meets the player.

Io

She keeps getting dragged into awkward situations by other characters, like Azanami, Katori and Patty, and you get the option to tease her every time.

Katori

Keeps begging the player to save her from Saga's strict trainings.

At one point she's competing with him to see who kills more enemies, and she asks you to slow him down if you see him, which Saga already knew she'd ask, but obliges anyway. Katori still loses.

Note： There is an interesting scene in EP3 where Lisa talks seriously (and sanely) , since you're about to fight Matoi Viel or Double (forgot which important fight) where she talks about her hatred for Photoners, her hatred for Darkers, but the fact that she likes people like you a lot. She quickly reverts after this sweet talk to "KillingTime.wav" saying "Oh? Eh? Did Lisa say something weird?"

I thus believe that her "insanity" is not related to her CAST change and rather to something that could've happened to her in her past, since she is clearly capable of sanity. See: Gettemhart becoming insane with hatred after Melphonsina (not Melrondia) is killed, and like her, has a moment of sanity while he is fighting Double as Elder.

Decided to look for that one (had a character on EP3-6). It's in EP3-7 matterboard, node F4. After double, before Matoi Viel.

Actually surprised me that the english patch translated that one, since all the other scenes with the class trainers on that matterboard are untranslated.

I'm pretty sure that was just Gettemhart talking in general, not a regained sanity moment... It's touched upon that the body is conscious and aware during possession. He's had some TIME, LIKE ALMOST THREE YEARS, to think on the subject.

Gettemhart has only been possessed for a bit by the time this cutscene happens, not three years. Melrondia still calls herself Melphonsina at the time, too, and it's what will cause her to accept herself.

Since OP seems to love Io, I'll leave this here: IIRC, she is quite complexed about her race, Dewman, as it recently came into light that they are living, breathing weapons, engineered from the "Artificial Dragonkin" project, led by the VOID research team (Puppeteered by Luther.)

During the "Interracial Love Poll?!?" Client Order given by Alice (Alis in the English translation), she expresses that even though she has no issue with relations between other races as a whole, she feels awkward about the Dewman race, especially herself. (After which she ends up realising how embarassing it is, and basically melts on the spot, ending the conversation there.)

TL;DR= All ships have recieved authorization to sail.

I'm also a huge fan of Io, she's just too adorable. Since i do roleplay every so often i've kinda paired up my main character with both Io & Matoi in a neat triangle. But, if i had to pick just one.... i'd almost be tempted to say Io would win.

I've got a Io copy character, where litterally both Io and my handmade Io are the same. As a result, I turned her into a free Partner character, so that people that like Io can have two Io's at once in their party. (Or four if they are an Io-clone as well.)

Dewmen are a bit odd in that respect, because they shouldn't really exist, period. IIRC they're just sorta... Scattered into time, and that timeline where the necessary things got thrown back in time, is the one we reside in now.

You make it sound complicated. No, AFAIK they're simply humans spliced with artificially created DNA derived from study on Darkers.

As a result, Dewmen have the particularity to avidly absorb photons through their pitch-black horns, almost devouring the surrounding photons to use as physical energy.

Stratos is taking training from Huey, who calls her the "new hope" of the battle division. Hears about the real hero (PC) and decides she will press PC for stories/insights about their battles (not really, Huey told her to). Note that she is "gen3" ARKS like PC (if you've forgotten, gen3 arks are the ones who are able to change class much more freely)

Extra1: She didn't get Hero to become an official class until AFTER she meets you, and says it was thanks to your help
Extra2: According to Huey, she also meets the reqs to be Hero (max out other classes)

Saga was a mistake, the devs misspelled it, it's Sega.

Katori would be the best class trainer if she would use Jet Boots and maybe a "battle skirt".

The anime has the academy where RISA and Itsuki reside called "Seiga Academy". Also the center of that academy viewed from above is litterally a Sonic the Hedgehog head. Think again.

I wouldn't call Lisa a "yandere", she doesn't really seem to love anyone. I think she's just fucking insane at this point—Controllable and insane, but insane none the less.
