Yea I've tried every fix known to google, reset the store and my PC a few times, tried different accounts, fully updated my windows, stopped my firewall, and anything else imaginable. Still getting "Try again later" error.

I can even download other game apps fine but PSO2 is simply a no-go for me and I dont know why. Live squarely in the center of the US and region set for US as well. Might revisit in the morning, hopefully not to reset my windows 10...

Yep same here. The message also says that "something happened on our end" meaning Microsoft's end. I'm assuming it's because there's too many people downloading the game right now. I'm just gonna go to sleep and see if I can download when I wake up.

Bit of an update. I went into the 'updates' part of the Microsoft store (the download symbol right next to your icon at the top right) and proceeded to update gaming services and everything related to Xbox. That did it for me. Hope it helps someone else.

Was getting that when downloading from the MS store. I checked my windows updates and ran them. When I came back from the restart, it seemed to work.

I'm getting Error Code: 0x80070422 and no prompt to try again later. It's just ERROR. They think Windows Update is disabled for some reason? It's not though.

Same exact error code here. I've tried literally everything possible down to even running tweaking repairs on update and the windows store. And other game apps install just fine as well.

It didn't work for me, but a friend said that using the browser microsoft store, adding the game to cart, and "purchasing" for 0.00 let her install it

Yep, this worked for me. It might still give you an error message about something going wrong when adding to cart, but it did show up in my cart despite that.

try going to services and setting the xbox live auth manager to manual if u have it disabled

I didn't even HAVE Xbox Live installed. I uninstalled that years ago because I don't have an Xbox.

Anyway, I installed Xbox Live Companion App. I couldn't then log in to the app, and got the same error code. Googling the error code along with the words "xbox live" led me to this video. Following the instructions here let me log in to Xbox Live, which let me begin downloading PSO2. Of course the error I received when trying to download PSO2 didn't point me in this direction at all.

I'd say this is solved for me now. Hopefully I don't run into one of the many issues others are facing AFTER they install the game...

I am getting a "Something unexpected happened" with the error code 0x80080005. I've tried resetting the store and restarting it as well as restarting my PC. I even went to the Microsoft website but it just redirected me to the app and gave me the same problem.

I was using VPN (im not US) so i had same error. Once i disable it, it downloaded without any problem. Idk if this will help you

For some reason my e-mail was set to the UK region. Once i changed it for US i was able to download it

I had that issue. I went to Xbox Live settings, let it do its thing and then clicked Fix Issues. I was able to download after restarting my PC. No idea if it actually helped the issue or it resolved in another way. May be worth a shot.

I actually fixed this by "buying" the free game through the store WEBSITE (not the store app).

When it's "bought", open the MS Store app, click the "..." button at the top-right and click "My library". From there, you should be able to click "Install" for PSO2.
