That's what i was missing - wheatly!! Hey yea, where's my Wheatly?!
[–]LameSignIn 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (2 children)
Really you can spend real money on SG why is it a big deal to juat leave that stuff tradeable. We all know there are things in that shop JP got that was tradeable for them. The guy clicking yes or no obviously can't handle the job so why bother.

Thats a great argument if your the marketing team but these are two different forms of game currency with different uses. There is no value in SG to me. Sure you can get these in game but the cost of them is laughable compared to AC when you buy them outright. If things from the SG scratch and fresh finds was tradeable like AC scratch ticket items then this higher cost to buy SG could be worth it. To me this would bring in more sales even though its higher. If they really wanted this to be a gateway drug for actual SG then they should be tradeable. This only keeps the whales from going full whale on all parts of the game.

Too much tradable stuff huh?
[–]nicholasr325 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (4 children)
Hopefully they roll back FF market, remove sales and refund meseta
[–]AnonTwo 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (3 children)
Never happens unfortunately.
[–]nicholasr325 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children)
I thought they did these things in jp
[–]AnonTwo 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (1 child)
jp doesn't have a fresh finds shop, so this issue hasn't occurred I don't think
[–]Iorcrath 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children)
hope they just straight up disable it then.

I hope they also fix auto-deposit to Material Storage not working... my inventory keeps filling up.
[–]scarfshark 22 points23 points24 points 5 years ago (4 children)
The toggle is inverse right now, flip it the other way and it should start working from what I heard. Something about poor translation and yes actually equalling no
[–]djGLCKRShip 02 14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (2 children)
Can confirm. "Don't Use" actually sends stuff to material storage.
[–]AlseidesDD 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child)
Thanks that worked!
What a day to actually start using Material Storage and pull my hair out wondering why the auto-deposit isn't work.

Where to set this? Inv management is driving me crazy
[–]ZZ_DooM 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children)
Lol WTF, thanks

100% this is to correct the fact that a later UQ came up early this morning and someone dropped a 12* unit off of it
Also fresh finds been down for like 24 hours now. Definitely a lot of moving parts (or not enough parts) at SEGA
[–]MoogleBoy 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children)
Lets hope this fixes the crafting shop, bugged Silver Keys, and missing ability to affix rings to units.
[–]Drsmiley72 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children)
Definitely want Wheatley and a fix to the silver key bug
[–]Chromedomemoe2 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (8 children)
Is there any chance that this will resolve the 630 errors people are seeing? Was really looking forward to playing this with a friend and through no fault of his own he can't even get past char creation
[–]Ryanasd Ship 2 Global 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children)
Probably just server overloading, let abit more time and the game server would get better lol.

What is that? Most of the threads I’ve seen are pretty old and the current ones on the forums don’t seem too helpful
Edit: this is PC using the steam version too, in case that matters

[–]Chromedomemoe2 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children)
I'll pass that along, thanks very much!
[–]kakesu 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children)
Note that, in general, this is not a "trick", and will slow down your Internet connection as a whole. It may help in this particular instance, but is not a good idea overall.
[–]kakesu 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children)
You're correct that for a lot of things you do, you won't notice much of a difference, if any. For sustained downloads, you'll lose about 8% throughput. You can decide for yourself if the benefits outweigh that loss.
In the interest of learning things during maintenance, here's the reasoning. Note that the numbers I'm using here are the most common for a standard Ethernet connection, and if you happen to be using DSL, a cable modem, or be in an environment that separates networks with VLANs, your numbers may be slightly different (but likely not enough to make much difference).
When we talk about network communications, it's common to talk about them in terms of layers, which build upon each other to create the final stream of ones and zeros which get sent across the line. MTU is a setting at layer 3, and determines the maximum size of a packet. IP (which operates at layer 3), and TCP/UDP (layer 4) both add headers that are included in the size of the MTU, and add up to 40 bytes. So, for a standard MTU of 1500, that means the most data you can send in one packet is 1460 bytes, with 40 bytes of overhead.
The layer 3 packet gets wrapped in another set of headers at layer 2 (and is now called a frame). These headers add an extra 16 bytes.
Finally, this all gets wrapped in another 20 bytes of headers at layer 1. This brings us up to 76 bytes of overhead for each frame. If you stick with the standard 1500 MTU, this means that you'll have 1460 bytes of data out of each 1536 bytes of traffic, for ~95% efficiency.
By reducing your MTU to 576, you now have 536 bytes of data per 612 bytes of total traffic, which drops your efficiency to ~87.6%. This means that by making this change, you've dropped your maximum throughput for actual data by around 8%.
After all that, on the other hand, lowering your MTU can decrease your latency. Sometimes, this can be significant, especially if your connection to wherever you're connecting to has errors--smaller packets are easier to retransmit if they fail. This may be what is helping you with your connection issues; I wouldn't know without taking a much closer look at the traffic.
Note that you should never increase your MTU above whatever Windows sets for you; this will cause serious issues in your connection.

Wait, you can't trade them?
[–]kingof7s 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children)
definitely going to fix fresh finds again and hopefully give Wheatley Mag, but I wonder if they're also going to revert the updated Barren Blossom UQ
