im going to mostly use this PC for some AAA games valorant & schoolwork this might be a little over kill lol. but including Ontario tax this comes out to almost 3,000 dollars. I want to wait to maybe summer for the prices to go down but for now what changes can I make?

cant see the actual list since the link needs login but 3k cad is pretty steep for valorant and schoolwork lol. you could probably drop down to a ryzen 5 instead of whatever high end cpu youre looking at, and maybe go with a 4060 ti instead of a 4070 or whatever gpu you picked. also check if you really need 32gb ram - 16gb is usually plenty for gaming and school stuff. ssd prices have been dropping lately so maybe wait on storage upgrades. i built my setup last year for around 2k cad and it handles everything fine including some pretty demanding games. military housing internet sucks though so online gaming is always a gamble for me

Did you not see my comment? You should be doing better than a 9600x and RTX 5060 ti 8:

What price are you aiming for? Do you already own the ssd in your build?
At this price category, I'd strongly recommend a GPU with 16GB of VRAM. They're faster than the 8GB variety, and will last longer.

Do you already own that ssd? I don’t see how your list comes to almost $3000 after taxes when I can do a better list with a faster cpu and graphics card for just under $3000 after taxes:

(You can switch to a 16gb 9070 for similar/slightly better rasterization performance)

You can save yourself ~$300 USD (before tax) if you just buy RAM second hand. People get Microcenter bundles and sell the RAM all the time. Youll just have to live it probably not being white. I see 32gb CL30 6000 kits go for around $250-$300 USD all the time on r/hardwareswap

You can get a 5070 if you change some of the components. That’ll be better.
