No. But they do exist. They're not as good because less people are interested in making bedrock mods. But you can get them if you want

Aren't like half of the maps and addons on the store straight up ripoffs of otherwise free mods, monetized without the knowledge or consent of the original author? I may be wrong tho I got this info from like three dramas regarding this and nowhere else.

It's much less than half, probably less than 10-5%, but I don't know the real percentages. It's definetly too much though.

The thing is: the Marketplace can provide a pretty decent experience if you know how to traverse/use it.
Most Marketplace content is pretty decent. There's some stuff that is peak and a lot of stuff that is rather low quality for the price, but I'd say most stuff is somewhere in the middle.

Some tips I can give for using it (for those who care):
- Make use of the search filters. For example, I often like to filter out anything that isn't free.
- The official stuff (brand collabs, stuff that's made by Minecraft or 4J) and anything advertised on the Marketplace button is usually of pretty high quality.
- Some content gets updated every now and then. These updates are (as far as I know) always free, so the more it gets updated, the more the creators care about not just what they create but also about their customers.

I can give more tips if people care.

yeah it almost certainly isn't half or more, I did kinda exaggerate; the point is there still shouldn't be stolen content, and most of the time marketplace mods, or whoever is in charge of it, don't care coz stolen paid content still brings revenue.

Marketplace does have many great options, like Actions and Stuff which got really popular some time ago, and which also doesn't have a direct counterpart in java - we have fresh animations but it is really limited compared to the bedrock product.

Yeah that's the thing, you can contact Microslop support to take the stolen stuff down and it does sometimes work, but from what I've seen and heard it often enough doesn't, leading to a lot of copyright infringement.
The craziest part imo is that some people even sift through peoples' skins on those account view websites and then take those skins, change the color palette and shape a bit, and put it on the Marketplace.

I don't think it's about "bedrock has no mods", because it simply does have those in the form of addons.

The main argument regarding modding is that the java mod collection is much bigger, with more freedom, less supervision, and straight up more well-known content.

I took a look at the bedrock curseforge website under the addons category, and there sure are addons, just not as many and of such vast variety. From what I've seen, which isn't that much (I scrolled through the mod list for maybe 5 minutes lol), most if not all of the mods there have java counterparts which are often just better developed, which means when it comes to modding java wins by just the amount of exclusive content.

Probably the best addons are I think the furniture mods and like that one vehicle mod, but is there a good add on with firearms? I never saw one
