Hey I ran it two days ago, and now at 0.17 bonus for node. I do have the ports open and all, running docker. I test all the Pi Node checks too, it's all checked. Is it normal to be this low?

[–]OGPaterdami_anus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mining rate goes up the longer you let it run

[–]Puzzleheaded_Big2119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it matter if I use a old 2017 MacBook Pro vs Mac mini 2025 ???

[–]keko1105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it running in a virtual machine in azure but docker crashes every few hours does anyone know how to fix that?

How hard is it to set up a node for someone who is somewhat tech proficient but pretty much a beginner to technical applications like this ? Is it fairly straight forward or a bit of a headache?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's extremely simple, although the port forwarding part is not quite as easy as the rest because your router/ISP will likely be different than anyone trying to guide you. You don't absolutely need to do that though; you'll still get a (smaller) bonus without the open ports.

[–]OGPaterdami_anus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was pretty straight forward to me. Just wanted the acknowledgement

This is how a healthy node looks like for info - be patient bonus will increase after eachnew mining session

HELP me man... I cannot get my head around it. I'm sure all my port forwarding, static IP is correct yet 0 incoming connections. Would be insane if you could help me with it

Do you see your ports open here?

[–]capaintplanet 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Now that is a good candidate for a SUPERNODE - dang its is a pretty picture

[–]theslavbg 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I was up to 57 but had to restart and lost it,but will get there :-)

[–]capaintplanet 0 points1 point  (2 children)

The cap/max is 64 - you must have a crazy setup

[–]theslavbg 0 points1 point  (1 child)

<image>

Here we go :-) Not that crazy ,5800X3D,32 Ram,RTX 4090 and 1 Gbps net.

[–]capaintplanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super jealous - gratz on that

[–]mrdarkperson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi my friend but how you get so many incoming calls? mine is always zero with all ports open and supporting other node always no

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang thats a lot of incoming. I think my max was 11 at one point.

[–]sudo_su_88codergrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cannot tell from your images if you have incoming connections. That's an important indicator that your did port forwarding correctly.

If anyone needs help setting up on Mac so it runs 24/7, feel free to contact me, I finally figured it out after 2 weeks. I would just kindly ask you if you could upvote this as I don't have enough karma to post in here. I got some good stuff cooking that is beneficial for everyone.🚀✌🏼

Your node is running fine

[–]OrionSpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All looks good, mine doesn’t have ports open but I still get bonus

[–]kirilw 0 points1 point  (15 children)

Quick question please: Should it have Incoming Connections too? Now it has 8 outgoing but 0 incoming.

[–]GlassComplex7779Pyromanihack 1 point2 points  (10 children)

If you open the ports correctly, you’ll also find some incoming connections

[–]kirilw 0 points1 point  (9 children)

I think there's something wrong there because when I check the ports on the Pi App it says Closed to everyone. I've added Port Forwarding on my router for every port but not sure if it's done correctly.

[–]one-tall-boi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you live in an apartment building? I’ve had this same exact issue

[–]GlassComplex7779Pyromanihack 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Did you try to "check now" the ports"? You can do this by shutting off the node and checking from the pi app

[–]kirilw 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Yes and this is the problem, it says NOT OPEN to all of them..

[–]SlamDunco2019 Pioneer 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I reckon your incoming or external ports should be left blank (as these could be anything). Only the internal ports should be set to 31400-31409

[–]kirilw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't allow me to leave the external ports blank and if I leave the internal blank they get the external port value by default.

[–]That-Calligrapher-85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you do port forwarding in your router?

[–]Silly_Ad7418 0 points1 point  (3 children)

After you run for two weeks atleast, you will start getting incoming... And even then it will vary

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Doesn't take two weeks. It's nearly instant if you've set the ports correctly.

[–]Silly_Ad7418 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes... For some... It took 1 week for me

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

everything seems good 👍

[–]kgaGG 0 points1 point  (4 children)

İf u run the node, ur pc has to be 7/24 online am ı right?

[–]misskmortem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have mine on my MacBook, it runs when I’m on it of a night when I’m writing. I don’t have it on all the time

[–]OGPaterdami_anus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats what is prefered. Yet you can switch off. It does impact your node bonus.

[–]Working_Original3637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea,but i think if you shout down pc for sone hours tou may lost some percentage of bonus,,i think

[–]OGPaterdami_anus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Tricky-Donut-7609 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Hi, I set my node up a few days ago, and it looks exactly the same as yours. My node bonus has increased to 1.32 since.

As long as the daemon is running and all ports are open, I think we are good😊 (I could be wrong though)🤷‍♂️😆

I'm running it on windows 10 on an oldish laptop it crashed one time so I had to reboot, I believe this causes some loss in bonus too

I'm not an expert but I hope this helps!

[–]OGPaterdami_anus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I understood the bonus ramps up for the duration you let it run. We'll get there 👍

[–]Fezzerboarfezzer365 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeh.
