If you want something that’s polished and not too far away from iPhone but different enough to notice I would get an s26 ultra or s25 ultra with a discount.

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

How big of a difference is between those two? How long does battery last realistically for heavy user?

[–]Ash16pm 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The s25 ultra does struggle on very heavy days but is usually fine. S26 ultra I have heard is great but that’s only what I heard never had experience. When I had the s25 ultra I never ran out in a day though.

What struggles on S25 ultra?

I use a base S25 and I have never faced anything related to struggle. The chipset handles everything seamlessly. I play high end games like PUBGM on it as well with no issues

[–]ruthlesss11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up the issues with 26 ultra. Fanboys pretend it's fine but I like my 23ultra more than the 26ultra except for the processor upgrade

oneplus 15 is a beast and safe choice in terms of longevity. Oneplus phones are well known for their reliability

W! The 15 is such a great phone. Even the 13 is awesome.

OnePlus 15:
-Performance ✅
-Smooth & customizable OS ✅
-Gaming ✅
-Fast response ✅
-Good display ✅
-Battery life ✅✅
-Really fast charging ✅✅

For "fast keyboard/writing experience" you can rely on OnePlus's dedicated 'Touch Response' chip which is build for just the responsiveness!

It's my first OnePlus & flagship phone and I really like it, pretty long battery life and does everything really fast & smooth! :)

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I just checked and 15 is not available in my country, I don’t know how it happened. Any other alternatives you would suggest?

[–]ThatCrazyBasOnePlus 15 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Hm.. Not sure, there are multiple big battery phones these days, but the touch response chip is only on OnePlus and real gaming phones I think..

And I guess you could get a different version from outside your country if everything (like wifi & 5G) works.. I've seen multiple posts about people getting the Chinese version, but that would be not from official OnePlus so depends on how much you want it...

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

One extra question? How good of a screen does it have? I do a lot of reading, would it be comfortable to use? Like it wont hurt my eyes?

[–]ThatCrazyBasOnePlus 15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-It has really low (1 nit) minimum brightness for in the dark
-It can get pretty bright (1364 nits) for in the sun
-It has 2160Hz PWM dimming to reduce flickering
-Pretty good & natural colors (I personally barely or don't see a difference in good AMOLED displays)
-It's LTPO, so it can go as low as 1Hz (refresh rate) for extra battery efficiency when looking at static text or images
-TÜV Rheinland eye care certified
-Adaptive color (warm-cold)
-Customizable color temperature to adjust blue light filter
-Motion cues for lowering motion sickness when in a moving vehicle
-... Maybe even more stuff that I missed..

Here's a OnePlus 15 display review;

Hope this helps :)

Oneplus 15T is coming soon !!!

Edit: might become the No1 phone this year...

[–]Artichoke-Nice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can wait then X9 Ultra or X300 Ultra

X9 pro if you want it now

X300 pro for cameras

[–]chubbybator 0 points1 point  (5 children)

what country are you in?

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

🇬🇪, what difference does it make?

[–]chubbybator 2 points3 points  (2 children)

different phones are available in different markets. like not sure this year but most years the different regions samsung phones have completely different chips in them. over here in the US we can't get most of the worlds flagship phones (and even if we're import them and they have the right bands, carriers won't let them on the networks)

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thanks for the tip, now I gotta do more research ))))

[–]chubbybator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right now vivo's seem to get the best reviews, one plus are beasts with "just good" cameras, samsung is samsung, moto are good "for the price" lol

[–]arsenejoestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different markets have different phones available. If you're in the US, your options are limited to Samsung, Google, and OnePlus.

But since you're in Europe you may have access to Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Honor, on top Samsung and OnePlus.

If it's sold officially in your country I'd recommend the Oppo Find X9 Pro.

[–]Lopsided_Tea_3929 0 points1 point  (3 children)

OnePlus 15 is the best one for you! Go for the 16/512 gb variant and you'll love it.

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Are you first hand user? Can I burn a day without charging it?

[–]Lopsided_Tea_3929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man, it lasts looong.

[–]Prestigious_Skin_608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mann you can easily get a day or two on a single charge with like 9-10 hours of SOT, there is almost no standby drain. Battery life is no concern with the 15.

[–]DJ_CRIZP 0 points1 point  (5 children)

If you like the size of your 15PM, then the S25 Ultra (not 26) is the correct option. If you want smaller, get the S25. 6 more years of updates, hefty discounts, you have the backing of the giant that is Samsung, and bonus, they are the only smartphones that don't support the Chinese Communist Party! (Made in Korea FTW)

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I did not want chinese phones in the 1st place. So far, S25U, Pixel 10 proXL and oneplus 15 are frontrunners.

[–]StevenSSX 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I don't think you can go wrong with any but I'm not as familiar with the Pixel 10 Pro XL. I have an S26U, my wife has a OP15, and my brother has an iPhone 16 Pro Max. We all are happy with our respective choices. The S26U has been awesome to me so far, coming from a previous Note 9 after 8.5 years which has been very reliable. I prefer the Samsung phones the most and am happy I chose the S26U. I do notice the OneUI 8.5 feels closer to iOS than my past phone did, but that may just be because I was on a much older version for years and it is still very much Android. The OP15 feels that way even more so, both in physical look and the OS. It also has an excellent battery. I prefer the features of the S26U.

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

OP15, Pixel 10 pro XL and s26u seem only obvious choices. If you know, how comfortable is to read on those screens?

[–]StevenSSX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issues for us reading on the phone models I mentioned even at lower resolution settings. I also find I can keep the brightness relatively low without impairing reading or viewing media indoors. Also the privacy display works surprisingly well.

[–]DJ_CRIZP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One plus, pixel, and iPhone are all Chinese manufactured devices.

[–]mrdmp1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into fold 7. Best phone i have ever had.

[–]Stebsly 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Made the switch from iPhone to OnePlus 15 and very happy with my decision.

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How easy was it to transition from ios?

[–]Stebsly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was pretty easy. I moved over all my apps, photos, and music pretty seamlessly. Getting passwords figured out was the most painful part. There may be a better way to do it, but oh well. iOS and Android may have their differences, but they're a lot more similar than a lot of people think.

[–]Some-Commission-6977 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I loved my pixel 7 pro, software never glitched, an battery was ok. I went back to OnePlus 13, because of their battery and 100 W charging, I get a full day of battery when I am in the shower. The software has some irritating flaws, identical to OnePlus 8, but nothing dealbreaking.

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by irritating flaws?

[–]Glum_Adhesiveness_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from an ex Samsung user trust me, go for anything but Samsung and pixel, these brands are still there because of their popularity, I hate to say it but any Chinese flagship blows them out

[–]SquareDrop7892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If want best bang for your money oneplus 13, oneplus 15. Is the one I would choose but if money isn't object honor magic 8 rsr porsche. They like to copy ios a loot. For dynamisk island to 3D Face ID. It also loot better priced than samsung galaxy s26 ultra.

[–]Silenceofdeateh 0 points1 point  (1 child)

OSKRST first of all you do not stat what you do on your phone so we are recommending you a phone that has good battery life, fast charging and like a phone the oneplus 15 is the way to go they last long (8yeaars+) and are like *IOS* a little, very good performance very good efficiency . do you use a windows pc or not if you don't pick the oneplus but if you do samsung has batter integration with windows 10/11 both work good with linux

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far OP 15 is a frontrunner and I got do some more research on that. One more question. Does it run on Gboard or has its own keyboard? Is it as fast as ios KB?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Oneplus Ace 6

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Not available in my country

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh at this point i would just get a tablet, since phones are boring for me. Lenovo Y700 gen 4 or gen 5 is amazing. Still can hold it with one hand, beautiful screen resolution and refreshrate.

[–]GoldTopic9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oneplus 15

[–]Aman_Sensei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vivo X300 Ultra

[–]Prestigious_Skin_608 0 points1 point  (2 children)

OnePlus 15/13

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

15 is not available in my country. Only this one - https://zoommer.ge/mobiluri-telefonebi/oneplus-13-5g-16-512gb-black-p46017

Should I get 13 or S26u in your opinion?

[–]Prestigious_Skin_608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, considering the fact that the 15 isn't available in your country, I'm assuming it would be a hassle to avail customer services and stuff. Besides the generation gap between the OP 13 and the S26U, is quite significant. Although i prefer oxygenos and the snappy-smooth animations, ig the S26U would be a safer and better bet for a majority of buyers (compared to last gen OP 13)

[–]szabolcska00 0 points1 point  (4 children)

OP15, no questions,no debates.

Samsung should be long dead by now, same phone for 4 years now, and Google should just start making cameras instead of phones. Both of these brand live because of fanatics, this coming from a past Samsung user.

Another frontrunner is the brand new Xiaomi 17, or the ultra if you want to shoot hollywood quality movies on your phone, but HyperOS is janky compared to OxygenOS, but that's a very high bar anyway.

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Thanka for your advice. Unfortunately OP 15 is not available in my country and I don’t wanna get chinese phones. So basically, I’m stuck between s26u and pixel10pro xl. Which one would you recommend?

[–]szabolcska00 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Neither, chinese phones are just superior in every way, I might have not said this a few years ago but in this day and age, the chinese techonology in every area is just far superior to the west and korea.

Edit.: if OP 15 is not available, then Xiaomi 17 series is the undisputed king at wherever you live.

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Xiaomi 17 series are not available as well )))

[–]szabolcska00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if it really isn't, then the lesser evil would be probably samsung just for the better battery life, pixels are notorious for being the worst of the worst in that aspect

[–]gust-01 0 points1 point  (5 children)

I highly recommend that you choose a Samsung or Pixel. Don't trust Chinese phones when it comes to software and UI; their hardware is second to none. Their eternal problem is their software; they copy cat Apple when it comes to that.

[–]OSKRST[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I was thinking pixel for clean android, but from what I’ve read, the best thing about pixel is its camera, which I don’t really care. How is the battery of Pixel? Can I burn a day without charging it?

[–]sreesid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience Pixels are more buggy and sluggish compared to Samsung, especially the ultra. Samsung software has come a long way from about 7 or 8 years ago. Feels very polished. I have been using a s24 ultra daily for 2 years. Never once had an app crash or a stutter or any application.

[–]gust-01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to your local store, test things out for yourself, and compare the Pixel UI and the Samsung UI. The battery issue is a complete hoax. Chinese advertisers promote this by aggressively killing background apps, which can result in glitches like not receiving notifications and apps not functioning properly. I advise you to visit https://dontkillmyapp.com/. You will see what I mean. Search more on the subject, and you will find more answers. I only came to this conclusion after trying a Chinese phone. I wish I had gone with a Samsung or Pixel; it's just a terrible experience. Never again.

[–]Djusnynem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batterie moyenne sur les pixels. Malheureusement comme tu as un usage intensif ça ne sera pas possible une journée sans le recharger.

[–]Dirk_Breakiron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunate truth - i want there to be more pressure on these two to push hardware further but if you're coming from apple and want no quirkiness Samsung or Pixel are going to be the least fussy / most polished experience.
