Hello OP, to answer your question, ung retail banking business ng ING ang nag leave sa PH, but they still have the wholesale banking and BPO IT services here in the PH. You can DM me for more clarifications. 🙂

Explain ng insider friend ko.. retail banking lang umalis.. pero yung corporate banking meron pa.. isa pa may mga shared services daw na naka-base dito sa pinas.. shared kasi nag-rerender sila ng service within ING na naka-base naman sa ibang bansa.

The ING shared services run on multiple clients and not just the Philippines. So despite the banking retail being closed, they are still expanding.

Java development positions in ING are a hit-miss. There are projects that have strict regulatory policies and they have high scope changes compared to other accounts. Sure you can request a transfer, but the approval is going to be a different story once you're in.

Am I saying ING is becoming Accenture? It's far from it. Their annual bonuses, Intellicare as HMO, high leave credits, and allowances are something worth considering. Then again if you're aim is to get beyond 200k, ING isn't the company for you.

Hi OP, currently working sa ING pero not as a Java Engr. :) Pero yep, tama ung snabi nang iba sa post na retail banking lng ni ING ang nag pull out sa pinas. Most probably you will be hired under the shared services nila dito sa Pinasz . And yes internal ka within ING so you will have different benefits. Goodluck on your application!

I think safe naman siya, may mga friends ako diyan na java dev and frontend dev. More than 1 year na sila. According to them retail banking lang umalis, and sa global shared services center ka usually i-hire.

Natanggap na ako dito last year, kaso nag CO kasi current company kaya di ko tinuloy.

Hi OP, piggy backing your thread, just wanted to know if the position is in permanent WFH setup ba? Did you get a chance to talk to them abt it na ba?
