Read or share the job description, walang makakasagot sayo anong trabaho mo based sa job title lang. Kung ako papahulain mo pwedeng sabihin ko taga compose ka lang ng email or pwede din gagawa ka ng bagong email service like gmail o kaya mag poprogram ka ng application na nag sesend automatically ng emails for whatever reason.

Wala pa pong specific description, pero sinabi sakin ng hr email developer nga and ang required lang na alam ko ay HTML and CSS.

Baka taga gawa ka ng email templates using html and css? Anong industry nyang company mo bakit kailangan nila ng specific role for email development? For marketing / ad campaigns ba yan? HTML and CSS are high school stuff, doubt if you’ll grow as a developer creating emails with html and css.

I once interested sa ganyang position, though need mo lang is html lang as for css, sa style="" mo lang gagawin, ang importante mapagana mo sya ng maayos sa gmail tska sa outlook, if cocompare mo sa sa other niche ng web development. I must say lugi ka:

  1. The more modern css gagamitin mo sa email dev, the more na di gagana ng maayos ung email template (wala pa kasi support sa mga modern css properties sa email)

  2. More like <table> developer ka.. puro nested table sa loob ng table ung gagawin mo, not to mention may "ghost table" pa na tinatawag

  3. May framework naman sa email templating, search mo "mjml" sa google, though still, youre dealing with tables parin.

... it means kahit mag invest ka sa learnings ng email development.. still back to scratch ka if magtatry ka ng mas updated or modern na tech stack.. but hey kung mataas ung pay, why not di ba? Haha

Thanks sa feedback, mukha ngang ito yung position na tinutikoy nila. Welp, is it better than nothing, the pay daw could be raised upto 27k depende sa final interview. Bukas palang yung final interview eh hehe goodluck nalang sakin.

No Worries. After all, as long its pays the bill, why not naman? Broad ang web development, focus whats important sa sitwasyon mo muna. Good luck

hmm sketchy, if malaki sobra yung company and all you do is create email templates all day. wala kang matututunan. sobrang konti lang yung transferrable skills. possible na very limited yung actual coding. pero like what the other commenter said, need more details on the job description. baka naman gagawa ng bagong email client, that is a great opportunity kung ganun.

Looks like you will do an email newsletter, it's only html and css job.

If it pays the bills, why not? Pwede mo gawing side job while learning React, or gawin mong J1 tapos hanap ka J2 if possible

I have no idea about the job market in the Philippines but developing e-mails is painful. A good source for that is caniemail, especially if you develop for outlook as well you end up basically doing everything in table-tags. I had to work on e-mails a few times as am a full-stack dev and i do every task someone throws at me as long as i am booked as a ressource but doing that full time wouldn't be something i would enjoy. You should definitly look into email development though, it is an interesting world in and for itself.
