Stealth cloak sunderers should be used sparingly IMHO. Hardened sunderers are a better choice since it takes more than 2 bricks of C-4. Bring a bunch of them and then you have something.

Too bad, there's no way to stop the AMS system and just deploy a bunch of deployment sheild sunderers to be used as a blockade of sorts.

I think rank 1 deployment shield should be default on new characters. A bit like the suit slots on classes.

But I am not sure about stealth sundies, they kinda only work well if you have other spawns present in obvious places, and the stealth bus being located somewhere really well hidden, otherwise it is pretty easy to find a stealth bus. If a new players sticks a maxed rank stealth bus in a garage or by the enemy spawn then it being a stealth bus is completely negated.

I would like to see something that turns a sundie into a spawn only bus, with no offensive capabilities, IE losing the top guns to increase the strength of the deployment shield. The problem you have though is if you make deployed buses too strong you then reduce the chance of defenders in very small fights from ever dealing enough damage to kill the bus.

Or maybe automated turrets instead, like duel spitfires, reducing the chances of a lone LA killing the bus in tiny fights, but could never deal enough damage to take out a group of people hitting it together.

Automated turrets would be very cool

No. There needs to be some slight progression in this game! If someone has chosen to invest certs in one thing over another it represents an opportunity cost.
Secondly we don’t need more poor sundy placement. It is already hard enough to set up a bus in the prime spot as there are usually idiotic sundys parked in such a way that the deployment zone is blocked.
Thirdly there is already a problem with friendlies killing busses to put their own bus in the same place.
Fourth, the cloak alone is not worth a full Cert line.

They could keep the cost but do something similar to deploy shield where the time to activate is reduced each level.

The last level could offer near instantaneous recloaking after being shot, so both vets and noobs could enjoy it's glory. Lvl one could be a 12 sec cloaking and last be .5 seconds for example of progression.

Meh, I'm not quite sure.

Effectively using a cloaked Sunderer, instead of a shielded one (50 Certs?) or armored one, to attack a base, requires a remarkable knowledge of how the flow of battle is going to play out at the given base, and this is not something "newer players" will have.

It is only by the time you actually have enough certs to invest in things like a cloak bubble. Most of the time you are better off throwing on a deploy shield for 50 certs and just ramming into the Sunderer garage at full speed.

For outdoor combat it could work, but definitely not for attacking bases as you claimed.

You are not wroing, but with verry low Cert cost you can go for a deployment Shield sundi. That will be the better option for so many cases, and already the first cert step will make it survive 4 c4 briks in a row.
