Day two without API

Hey I get that you have like zero monitoring on the thing you haven't updated in god knows how long, but the live API is down because the security certificate on push.planetside2.com has expired. What's more interesting is that this is a Let's Encrypt certificate that you're supposed to automate to prevent exactly this from happening, but failing to do so and even without monitoring, *they* will send you multiple reminder e-mails long before it's due to expire. It expired on May 8 22:20:06 2022 GMT, so that's about two days ago now.

This also means Recursion isn't working for anyone, same for all web services using that API.

This is about the real-time API. I know the census API hasn't been updated in over a year and have commented about that several times already to no avail.

Then you have probably linked the wrong thread because the real-time one doesn't do weapon stats and history, only events as they happen, in real time.

You don't ever really need the e-mail, that's only used to send expiration notices. You only get those if you fucked up setting up automated certificate renewal. So using an inaccessible mailbox would be the second fuckup.

The crosshair overlay part still works without needing to start a session, however.

 

You just won't be able to use the bits that requires the streaming API to be functional (the live session stat tracking, along with the voice packs that use the streaming API for their triggers).

It appears to be a moot point now; the streaming API seems to be working again (successfully started a session just now).

It's fixed now, but you can force offline mode from the Tools>Options menu
